New Grower Waira's 11-strain-in-the-membrane outdoor grow

Finally... LOL! Hi Stickmensch, what's up with you lately? -LOL! Always good to hear from you, my friend, and again, my thread is your thread...stop by whenever you can, never a rush to get back to me!... just keep an eye out for the new ones upcoming, which of course I'll keep you posted on... looks like there will be a Sweet only one, and the HR/sweet combo 'home base' one.... gotta get going on those soon :D .... Thanks for the congrat's on making it to the finish line! The last of the girls are drying, and some are now in the jar-cure phase... samples have been very impressive, and I see no issues at all with auto potency! I'll likely post a general first impression report soon, but will wait for some weeks still for things to cure properly before I make official Smoke Reports... the one Mi5 will become hash, the super runty one I literally tossed away- too many bugs, not enough goods! But I can tell the genetics were there, just from the serious frost they developed... I have never had aphids do this to a plant before; it's like they didn't even care that they were stuck in place, as long as they could feed, they were happy to lay in their own filth and molt castings, the squalid fucking little shit stain d-bugs! :finger: LOL! I will be taking particular pleasure in nuking them with my alcohol spray during the veg' phase of the new girls!! :twist: Oh yes, did you see Muddy's sticky on when to harvest, in the new growers section I believe? Amber trich's may not even develope, or very, very late, past prime, so yellow leaves and cloudy trich's are a better indicator.... even so, a couple of mine didn't yellow out much past the fan leaves, but the trich's and the appearance of the buds (little to no new action) were what I went by...
I will not post any close up pics of my first Autos, as they are just too embarrassing
C'mon now, they're no worse than some of the leafy runts I had! And I recall seeing some that were within spec, so to speak,... If you're going to order more seeds sometime, I worry more about the strains you want going out of stock, and don't worry about the freebies- folks who missed out on the dragon freeb's got prime SRB70 seeds instead, just as a sorry-we-ran-out consolation!! LUCKY Mutts! So, try not to miss the sale-m besides, there are dragons from Stone and others that might be 'available'...
Pots seem to something of a key, huh! Airpots are showing to be the choice for indoors, but then look at brother Doobies great plants, in Home Depot 5gal buckets! I think it was X, or Jm, who had tried a few different fabric pot co's, and found Hydrofarms to be the best... gotta look those up, and see if they were the ones I saw that were taller and tapered...
Breeding,.... that is a whole other adventure, and a really steep learning curve! But also rewarding in a very special way... if you've the time! Such a project would be ongoing, and years if one is really looking to home in on stable, fantastic strains...The possabilities are endless with all that's available... Me? I dunno nothing...-LOL! Dude, I'm spacing, what's UDG again?
Thanks for the Stick-Farms pics!! As I said in the other thread, the group as a whole looks damn good stick! You've done damn fine job all things considered, and should be proud of your good works... those GhzxC99's are excellent!! Wow, such sturdy, well shaped young'uns are going to be right on point by harvest! Have they sexed yet? I'll bet there're pistils tucked in there someplace... I'm not even looking at pH anymore at this point; the soil seem well buffered, and I did add some dolomite anyway, and am using a mix of degassed tap/RO water, sufficient for buffering the nute' soln... I also started adding Vit C, last grow, just for the hell of it, partly to pH down a bit, but it also may , reportedly, help build more robust buds according to Cervantes Grow Bible... certainly no harm see so far,...
Okay, time for some chow, mate! I'll catch you one place or the other, meantime you and your wife take good care! :smoke:

Let me also congratulate you on crossing the finish line! *WHEW* High 5

So glad the potency and flavors (so far) are to your liking! :cough: I think both of our yields were disappointing, but glad you have quality smoke! I'm scared to try the PE & AKR - they've been curing for a while now but I picked them SOOO early, just not sure... I'll head over to my auto thread next I guess, and close that baby out - not a pretty picture! LOL

I'm looking forward to watching your new crop grow! Are you going to post that here or start a new thread? Just wanna make sure I'm subbed! :D

Stickman: I have major hoop-house envy. Ladies look GREAT!

See you gentlemen later! :smokebuds:

So now bugs so i know in the other thread talking with JM about the K problem hes saying you have a DEF if you have bugs right? so if you fix the DEF then no more bugs because of oils plants natural def .? Dont know if i can get any cobra seeds any time soon ..maybe get now for later !I like the trippy sticks!

Dooooobage- No, mate, the 2 are not necessarily connected.... Stickbro has been fighting a low level thrip infestation, like had, for some time now; the current issues have to do with possibly not enough K in the soil to start (he's TLO like you), and/or the 'crobes got damaged due to saturated soil, which kinda suffocates the 'crobes.... but, a nute' stressed plant is more susceptible to vermin...*** LMAO!! Sing the GI-Joe song Doob- 'du na na na na-na-na GI Joe is there!', fighting against Corba Cmmdr. ! WTF is that .....Funny, in fact, I'm baking nicely on my first sample of the other better Cobra,.... Fruity-sweet, a little spicy and a shake of earth, uncured... who know what she'll do later! And boy, 3 hits and I'm downgraded to the TV until beddy-bye time... :smokeit:seriously,...LOL!.......... Give ghostbuster a nice pat for me!

:smoke: Alrighty folks, this thread's coming to an end soon... I'll post some bud porn later! stylez rasta smoke I've started my Sweet Seeds thread with just the Crm. gals, for now, and depending on when I get the other seeds from Sweet, if it's not too late, will include Sweet Special, Red poison, and their choice of a 'fast' strain! :woohoo: Next, I have to start a new thread with everybody, mainly for HR, but will still include the Sweet gals... Smoke reports will wait for a proper cure, and I still have to weigh those that are worth bothering with!....

Hey you. Can you believe I'm getting back to you in record breaking time for me.
I can't wait to see recent pics of your new gear, especially the MOB.

the one Mi5 will become hash, the super runty one I literally tossed away- too many bugs, not enough goods! But I can tell the genetics were there, just from the serious frost they developed...
I'm sorry to hear about your Mi5s. I've read very good things about them. One of the many, many, many, strains on my list. I know that you can't relate to that right.
I have never had aphids do this to a plant before; it's like they didn't even care that they were stuck in place, as long as they could feed, they were happy to lay in their own filth and molt castings, the squalid fucking little shit stain d-bugs! :finger:
Yea, I just discovered a serious thrip infestation on just the buds of one of my (Skunk x RDs) yesterday, nuked them immediately, I think I will get a couple of whole grams out of it. Oh well another lesson learned.(I hope):D

Oh yes, did you see Muddy's sticky on when to harvest, in the new growers section I believe? Amber trich's may not even develope, or very, very late, past prime, so yellow leaves and cloudy trich's are a better indicator.... even so, a couple of mine didn't yellow out much past the fan leaves, but the trich's and the appearance of the buds (little to no new action) were what I went by...
Yes, I did read that a while back, but I forgot about not waiting necessarily for the trichs to amber. Info overload, I'm trying to learn to much to fast, as always. Thanks for the reminder, as soon as I read that I went out and checked out my first Auto that is getting ready to close out.:check:

If you're going to order more seeds sometime, I worry more about the strains you want going out of stock, and don't worry about the freebies- folks who missed out on the dragon freeb's got prime SRB70 seeds instead, just as a sorry-we-ran-out consolation!! Yes, I'm doing massive research on the strains offered, and will be ordering before the sale ends. Most of what I'm looking at are the light-sensitive to very light sensitive Photos that have been around for awhile. I have such a short growing season here, even with the hoopy. I thought I read MNS say that they would be getting more Dragon Freebies in before the sale ends. If not about the only Autos I'm looking to get are the Duurties.

So far I'm happy with the fabric pots both for indoor and out. I did get some propagator airpots (I believe 23 oz.) for reg seeds. They are nice, once the girls show up, just unscrew, unwrap, and you have a completely undisturbed 'plug' to transplant into final pot.:gthumb:

It would just be another part of this great new hobby of growing our favorite and fussy species of plant. I have no desire to become a commercial breeder, just for my self and to share with friends. I will be trying to make some fem seeds out of some of the autos I have this late fall and looooooooong winters we have here. Be glad you don't have to deal with stinkin snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me? I dunno nothing...-LOL
Yea tell that whopper to someone that might buy it.Cool:
Dude, I'm spacing, what's UDG again?
Unleash Da Green:http://unleashdagreen.net/forums/forum.php
It's basically the forum for that is comprised of the breeders and growers at RCMC. I know a lot of the folks that are now regulars here at AFN came from over there. I lot of people from here still participate over there including MNS. Its worth checking out.

those GhzxC99's are excellent!! Wow, such sturdy, well shaped young'uns are going to be right on point by harvest! Have they sexed yet? I'll bet there're pistils tucked in there someplace...
They were fem seeds. Man it makes such a difference planting directly into final pots. Waira, they are so loaded with pistils, it is unreal. Maybe there is hope for me as a grower.
I'm not even looking at pH anymore at this point; the soil seem well buffered, and I did add some dolomite anyway, and am using a mix of degassed tap/RO water, sufficient for buffering the nute' soln...
That's another thing that drew me to TLO, NO checking or having to buffer, after the seedling stage.

I also started adding Vit C, last grow, just for the hell of it, partly to pH down a bit, but it also may , reportedly, help build more robust buds according to Cervantes Grow Bible... certainly no harm see so far,...
Another tidbit I missed in his extensive book, that either sits next to my chair, or the reading room.:D

Ok, I'm all typed out now, been doing lots of it this afternoon and early evening.

Be well, my friend.:peace:

*ding-ding-ding* BUD PORN!! Hop digity This is mainly a pic-report, as most are just dry enough now to jar up, and aromas are still kind of raw and mild, unless you give'm a pinch! Curing will change things of course, so time will tell,... but what I have tried has been great! Potency feels as good as anything I've tried from dispensaries that was tested out in the upper 'teens THC%!

016.jpg014.jpg<-- B. Lee- (L- shorter) high density nug's, interesting mild citrus-peppery aroma so far, but it's changing as it cures; I'll try it tonight to see if it 'works'-LOL!; (R-taller, more open structure) very different from the other, can't believe they're even the same strain, some similarity in aroma, this one's a bit more floral/sweet; really frosty and very potent! fairly balanced, spacey high... 23.2g/28g total- no doubt the champs for yield! This strain is a total gem, and the complete auto package- truly easy and forgiving to grow, with excellent quality results... Breeders, take note, this strain deserves way more prop's than it get's!

012.jpg013.jpg<--Star Ryders- just barely dry enough to jar-up;(green) sweet floral candy-ish aroma, has kinda odd trich's, zillions of small globes; (purp) spicy earthy, little sweet aroma... not tried either yet... 10.3g/7.2g total; man, still lamenting the stunting on that purple gal...

010.jpg009.jpg<--Red Dwarf's- (L) aroma's hard to describe, complex- floral/sweet elements, with earthy/wood/spice..? LOL!; (R) petite- yummy sweet floral... both are also plenty potent! 7.1g/4.5g... both have an airy but stiff build, and lots of frost...

008.jpg007.jpg<--Cobra- If I had to make a call now, this is my favorite so far! Nice blend of floral/sweet/spicy, way frosty/sticky, and also very potent! 12.2g ... both Cobra's did stunt out, but recovered very well as far as great bud formation goes, which is much more than I can say for some others.... as a general tip/warning, all of Stitches' gear I tried were very sensitive to nute' conc., so be careful when fert'ing! The quality of the genetics for product though, is fantastic, and the scores of grows here have proven time and again...!

Everybody still needs some cure time, so until then, I'll wait to make proper smoke reports.... stylez rasta smoke

Nice Waira! Can't wait to hear the report back! That star Ryder got some nice color in it huh?

Cobra is decent smoke for sure!

I feel u on the light feeders ...

They very sensitive. ..but I did find Cobra to want some feed ...
That Strain can make some big old bats if u let them ..
I have 2 left to grow out and yes its a tasty smoke ...
