Alright all thanks for stopping by to help a brother with a sweet tooth.

I'm wanting to indulge into the world of THC Edibles after starting to sample a few on the market and none of them really hitting the mark so what better way to solve it than to do it myself.

I'm currently approaching the end of Week 4 of a 3 Plant grow so have around 8-10 weeks to prepare for being able to produce my own Gummy Bears.

So my questions I need answers to are listed below if somebody can link me a guide that's already on the forums that answers them that would be amazing.

1) What equipment do I need and is there a one stop shop somewhere for it all?
2) What is the method for extracting what you need do I need a Science Degree?
3) Is it at all possible to make sweets that taste like the strain they are made from? (This is a major pipe dream I expect the answer is no due to Terps but one can only hope)
4) Who's got some pictures of their own homemade Gummies so I can slide in your DMs and pester you for knowledge?

Thanks in advance guys if you're interested I've got a grow journal for my ladies on here all from FastBuds 2 x ChemDawg and 1 x Northern Lights.

I use this Gal's recipe. She has another video also to infuse coconut oil w/cannabis on Youtube. I don't use the citric acid because I like mine sweet not sour. I use ice cube trays for molds and cut the gummies in half after removing from the tray.

I've been in a YouTube rabbit hole since writing this feel like I'm ready to write a book. Dam me and my immersive approach to anything I'm passionate about I had stuff to do today
I do like to soak up YouTube knowledge but there's nothing quite like a Online Thread where people can throw questions back and forth and share their collective ideas. I would say YouTube comments would be viable but I find they're so toxic you'd never get a serious conversation too many Trolls.

I'm gonna be going for the THC Tincture using pure alcohol and double pan heated with the baked weed then pouring the matter through a coffee filter into a new Mason jar over and over until all the weed has been soaked then reduce back out the alcohol until all that's left is the cannabis oil.

Then I'll infuse that with the Gummies all I gotta find is a tasty jelly and the extra bits that need adding. Really not as much involved as I was originally intimated by.

For each of my current 3 Ladies ill be making a 14g batch which will create 1.4g of concentrate.

Next I'm going to be looking into how I can get high off more than just the buds from my girls so kief sieves etc if anyone knows a good thread on here a link would be

Don't want to get them so stone that the evening could turn bad is my main concern when thinking of it.

I bought my wife a cannabis cooking bible or something by that name had a dose calculator and a couple infusion methods if I can get her to dig it out I'll take some screenshot of what it has for dose calculations. Thanks for posting this thread as I have been thinking of making my bho into gummies and wanted to know what everyone else was doing to make gummies but hadn't gotten around to looking too deeply yet. I'll be showing the wife the videos although the book had most of that info but maybe seeing will kick her into gear as I have a bunch of bho and scrappy flower and sugar leaves to be used for cooking.

As far as gummies go, you're basically doing cooked sugar w/syrup and white cane. Cook to hard ball, then dissolve into your hydrated gelatin mix.

Any recipe without cooked sugar won't be shelf stable. Also use lots of corn starch for your molds, I tried a "light coat" and lost a batch to stickage. You really want like 1/8-1/4" of cornstarch...

I know I'm late with this but the best dummies I have made were done using the Haribo gummy bear recipe on recipefairy.com
Follow the recipe as is and then after you add the citric acid, stir in your decarbed wax. These have the real gummy texture not just rubbery jello.
