Water-only microgrow?

How small have you gone with a super soil container, and still had good bud? I'm specifically asking about water-only grows, I'm sure you can go really small when feeding teas.

I have one seedling in a 0.4 liter can, but I'm only expecting it to provide some pollen.

If you go too small, you'll stress the plant and I think that would potentially effect the value/quality of the pollen and seeds you're producing.

Without feeding, water only, 1 gallon for every month of life.

Female, 80 days 3 gallon
Male 35 to 45days, 1 to 1.5 may work.

I planted another seed as a spare, in case the 0.4l male starts to look bad. I think I can still use it, by feeding it some nutrients later on.
