Hey guys, how do you water outdoor/guerilla plants which are planted in soil? Assuming every day/week visit is not option or as little as possible.
What do you use for nutes and when?

Watering outdoors...
I guess it would depend on how much it rains where you are, but for me guerilla means minimal care/work, don't think I've ever watered more than a half dozen times per season.
This year for example I'm at 3 weeks, and only watered once when I set them in the ground. I was actually a little worried they might drown in their first week it rained so much. If it don't rain for a few days I'll think about giving them a drink.
Nutes, there will be a lot of theory on that one, but again guerilla style if you got decent soil with some compost to start with your pretty good. I confess to actually throwing on a splash or two of some generic stuff, I doubt it makes much difference. I'll put it this way, if you really poor soil conditions, no amount of nutes will make up for that.
I have no pictures of the past, but have grown pound plus plants from a june 1st start, visited once every two weeks.

OK, not the same thing I know, but here's a pic. of no chemical grow.

Here rains maybe 1-2 per month in summer.
I heard you can buy something to absorb all water you pour there so you don't have to water too often.

I'm sure you figured it out by now. But here I go. Build an onsite reservoir and elevate it with drip irrigation. You can backpack in 2 liter bottles of water and top off the reservoir every couple weeks. The answer to your question is water absorbing crystals. Mix it into the soil at a certain ratio. It's not cheap if your doing a big grow. Good luck!

I water if we have a dry week, if it rains I skip it. pH to ~6.3, been having good luck with Roots Organic Uprising top dress. I use considerably more than the bag recommends. Been using that stuff in my veggie garden too.

Hey!!
It all comes down to this....we NEED as many votes as possible in the outdoor contest. If we don't get a solid number of voters, then we will question the love for outdoor plants, and the need for a contest!!
So PLEASE stop by both of these threads, and put down your votes.
Auto Live Bud https://www.autoflower.org/threads/outdoor-grow-battle-2017-autoflower-live-bud-voting-thread.61553/
Auto Dried Bud https://www.autoflower.org/threads/outdoor-grow-battle-2017-autoflower-dry-bud-voting-thread.61554/
Votes will be limited to 3 per voter, and votes will be tallied up at the end and both the live and dried bud results will be added together to crown the outdoor auto champion.

Every voter that stops by and also puts down a coment on either of the voting threads, will receive maximum reputation from me as a thanks for helping to support out sun grow ladies.

A good little trick is to Dig a hole large enough to fit a 20 lt bucket in. Heat up a safety pin and puncture a few holes in the bottom of the bucket. Fill it to the top with ph adjusted nutrients. Pop a lid on your buried bucket and camouflage. You want the bucket buried about 2 feet from your plant. Works really well over hot summers here in Australia.

Prices for Water Crystals, like any weed related products, are meant to rape you every time you bend over. The prices are blatantly obscene. Fuckers.

You can find most weed related tools, or very good substitutes all around you if you look. In this case, Water Crystals can be found in DIAPERS and many other products. Pull a diaper apart and go for the cotton interior. Don't sift out the crystals from the cotton because it'll help hold water too. If you put too much in the ground (I suggest no more than a tablespoon), it'll lift and push your plant right out of the ground when it rains.

Crystals are a safe and inert chemical called Sodium Polyacrylate and can absorb 2-300 their weight in water, and your plants can access this reservoir when it needs it.

You can get Sodium Polyacrylate in bulk here and it's cheap! https://snowinseconds.com/

You can get a small pouch for $15. Just over water it and it'll turn to gel for you and double the claimed 2 gallons.
But I like the diapers with the cotton. If it's good enough for a baby's bottom, it's good enough for my dope. lol
