New Grower Wedding glue, DIY light & box, arduino controlled, DWC, Canna aqua

Hi,

thank you for accepting my membership. Here is my first grow here (5th in my life).

I grow in my diy box, insulated, inside coated by Orca foil, outtake fan, air circulation fan. Inner diameters: 70*70*220 cm (cca 2.3*2.3*7.3fee)

My diy lights are
1) 1 chip Vero 29, C version 5000k 70cri
2) 3 chip Vero 29, C version 3000k 90cri

I use first one for grow, lot of blue light helps hold my flower short and wide and second one for flower

Light intensity is measured by my Iphone app called Photone - in tests measures +- 5% like Apogee - good enough for me

Nutrients - complete Canna aqua line, I use bluelab device to measure pH and EC. My tapwater is 0.6ec so i use distíled wateror rain water to dilute it to 0.4. In later stages of growth I will try torus hydro perfect pH capsule. In flower I use cc 80l(21gal) dwc tank - i can leave it without attention later. In groe i use cca 20l tank(5gal).

I made diy arduino controlling machine, now it senses - air temp and humidity, co2, water temp, and controls outtake fan and light - still in developement i want to add co2 enrichment, but i need much larger grow chamber, with at least dehumidifier or bether AC. I also want to collect data and sendit to thingspeak to have online monitoring in future.

Day 2 after sprouting.

I put it in small dwc tank, only little bit of grownuts and lot of rhizotonic, ec 0,6. My grow ligth ppfd is 300, 18hours light and 6hours dark

One more idea to say: i will be happy if you write me some ideas how to improve my settup or grow. I also love to read If you thing that Iam doing something wrong way.

Hi with update from day 7. Plant looks healthy but lied on ground so I added support. Maybe too much of light, or some other opinions?

Update day 10.

Firstroots came out of of hydroponic basket, so I put it in 20l (5gal)reservoir.

EC 0.9 my aim was 0.8 but shaking hand . I mixed my tapwater (ec 0.6) with rainwater (ec 0.1) to ec 0.4 due to recommendation of Canna.

Ph corrected to 5.8 - and now it should be cared by torrus hydro perfect pH capsule

Light - ppfd about 625. Blue one 5000k 70cri. I thing this shoud hold my flower down ,bushy with masive root mass and thick stem.

I also added some hydroton to suppoort

Day 12

Ph in range (5.8) EC increased to 1.0, but so far no negative effect. Water temp 25dg of celsius (77f). I will have to cool it few degreeds. I will try plastic bottles with ice. PPFD 800.

Day 14 update

PPFD 900

everything goes well so far, growth is starting to accelerate. There is nothing to do.

Environment is controlled by arduino, in the reservoir there is enough nutrients for weeks, ph is being held by perfect ph.

In few day I will only check EC.

Water temp is same like last time, higher than it should be, but it doesnt do anything, so I will not do anything - I am lazy man. Maybe hydroguard or something simillar could make me feelig more comfortable, what do you think?

Day 21

Hi, so far so good.

I added 1,5l(0.4gal) of distilled water to hold EC 1.0 and adjusted lights few times to hold ppfd in center part between 900-1000umol/m2/s.

Ph is stable between 5,7-6.2, checkef few times, yesterday it was 6.1

Hi,

day 28 update. Ph was going up to 6.5, so i recharhed my pH perfect capsule. It was in use only 6 weeks. It
was in 80l reserwoir although it is aimed to 380l.

Tomorrow I will switch to final container (80l - 21gal) and hope there will be no more pH issues. It will be 80l (21gal) of grow sollution, i think last grow sollution for this plant.

Plant grew nice, nearly full space is filled, still under 60w blue light!!! It also showed first white pistils. Also tipburs are aparrent. Hope there will be no more.
