Mutation is common on some of the first leaf sets on certain strains. It will most likely grow out of it. What is your germ Technique? 2/7 means your technique is flawed. Did you buy from Mephisto? What medium do you use? Water on the outside of the.your pots, it works better than watering by the stem. What are your temps? Good luck

...haha that does look pretty weird :bow:.....but @slowandeasy is right....they do quite often grow out of the mutation :d5:.....still, hard to see new in there lol:headbang:.....I would give her a few days and see if she starts to form new leaves :smiley1:

Hey buds, thanks for the responses

How common are mutations on Gold Glue? Ive not seen a single diary on "Grow Diaries" with a mutation.

It has 24 Carat in it, which does have that mutation as does Sour Crack. Don't worry, grow it out and see what happens. You should share your germ Technique, so we can help you solve that problem. You should get 7/7 on a strain that new. Something is not right if you failed with 5 seeds . Good luck, slow

Thank you for the info! I was under the impression that Gold Glue was from 17/18? Assuming i got old stock from a seedbank.

I usually soak the beans in a shot glass over night 10-12hrs, then place in folded toilet paper and inside a DVD case wrapped in an item of clothing, placed on my driver outside my grow space.
ive had success with this method in the past, and recently used the same method on some Fastbuds GG4, which showed a taproot within 24hrs

You absolutely can get bad/old seeds from a seed bank. Try soaking in a shot glass and then planting next time. Cover with a clear cup. I don't use paper towel. Just keep temps 80-85f and you will do well. Sometimes paper towel method can kill the seedling from improper temps, wetness, or lack of oxygen. Good luck

Valid point on the paper towels. I will give that a go next time!

Back with an update. Took this closeup on day 11. This morning showed promising signs of new growth
