Indoor What are some important lessons you have learned from growing?

Yep..knew i was going to get backlash for number one
I would say it's because you were not specific, all you said was sterilize it, a lot of people use premixed soils. wich would be not so good for them if they just want to open the bag and grow...and your kinda jumping around now, throwing out hydro, Don't forget coco... Basically what I'm trying to say is different medium require different methods.......The one constant is PH.

1- When you sterilize your soil you are also killing all beneficial microbial life. If bugs are an issue I would recommend mosquito dunks ( See pic below)

2- If you know how to properly trans plant there are no issues.. I will state that starting in containers smaller then 32oz has shown signs of stunting for me.

3- With auto most efficient would be 2 -3 gallons in my opinion (I have seen monsters in 1 gallon and under)

4- If you water by weight you'll never go wrong

5- You nailed this one

With that said, be for you post your facts, be sure to make sure they are the facts....alot of new growers are gonna see this, and possibly get a slow start.

1. as long as the soil contains nutrients you do not need microbes to break it down further
2. if your lucky but most of the time your taking a huge risk even if done by the book. Chances are it will stunt more often than not
3. Monsters in a 1 gallon bucket is possible HOWEVER daily watering and monitoring will be needed. The more room you have for the roots the better.
4. water by wait? each stage of growth, temperature, humidity and on and on have different watering needs.
5. these are not facts, where did you get that from? I simply stated important steps "I HAVE" learned over the years. I never stated these where from the encyclopedia and written into stone.

I hate PH! "Swivel"

please keep the vibe , you yourself said you knew you were gunna get it about #1

you were only half wrong , but half right too , more detail of when "to" and when "not" to could have solved any back n forth

peace

p.s. thats water by weight not wait and any stage of growth having different requirements will still tell you by weight , you will know if they are using it or not

I am on my first DWC grow at day 16....

I have learnt many things, especially today!!! PHEW!!! It is sooooooo stressful!

Check my grow in signature my friend ;)

:peace: Peace :peace:

I have learned there are many ways to grow cannabis.

And when to delete a post early in a thread that I had a feeling was gonna go south.

:peace:

I never tried watering by weight, i like to keep the soil moist/slightly dry during vegetative growth and slightly wet during flowering.

yes , and the weight of the pot will tell you when your medium is in those conditions

is there something you dont understand about that ? do we need to go into more detail for you so you can grasp whats being explained ?

peace
