Live Stoner Chat What are your light cycles?

I veg under 5k led shop lights...no lie lol. Anyhow, i run 24/0 with these lights until a week after preflower shows then into flower room under 1000w hps. At this time i switch to 20/4 for remaining cycle. Ive always done it this way but have read of alot of ppl doing the exact opposite. Any opinions on which method may be best?

Remember...……. opinions are like assholes everybody has one. here is mine. I use a 20/4 from beginning to end. what I have noticed is that the growth spurts happen during the 4 hours of darkness. both during vegging and buds bulk up as well . during the 4 hours of dark.
plants need some rest.

I do 18/6 because I firmly (or ignorantly) believe that a dark period is beneficial.

Not. my grow tents are two rooms away from the woodstove, during winter I wont let them go more than four hours. need the heat in tents.
during spring and summer 19/5 would work fine.

I've tried 20/4 and 24/0, with everything else the same (lights, strain, soil mix, tent etc.).

I got more flower and a faster grow with 24h lighting, and that's what I've been doing since. Your mileage may vary.

I veg everything 24/0 in a separate area and then Guess I'll be an oddball but I run all my plants on 12/12 in bloom....have for years in a perpetual grow. Allows me to throw a photo in which I usually do.
Growing in small pots, I stuff my tent with 6-8 flowering ladies...I count 1.5oz /plant good for a yeild but have had some autos in the 3 oz area.
At some point one has to consider how much environment means.

Dude, that's some stoner math :smoking:

18 to 24 is adding 33%. Also, the yield increasing by a single percent is enough to pay for the energy cost increase, for me anyway.

Again, I'm not saying 24/0 is the right schedule for everyone, just pointing out it's a valid option.
