Started a week ago but seems to be getting worse. gonna have to treat it but I can't figure out if it's magnesium or something else only a few bottom leaves effected got some purplish lines on my stems aswell? Anyone know what this is as its popped up multiple times in my grows all tho I know it will finish I would rather have a decent yield and happy plants. second pic is a leav that's had the issue longer and now is in late stage. got some interval cholorisis

Sure looks and sounds like magnesium def to me. It shows about like that in the older leaves first and some purpling of the stems can be a associated with the defiency too. Looks like its a soil grow; what's the pH runoff and how's the feed you giving, ppm/ec and pH?

It would also be better if you'd also provide a full view of the plant so people can better cross off other possibilities based on what is going on with the plant overall. I couldn't give you a sure answer without more information. I doupt even the true experts here would either.

Mossy adviced it like this in the post "AFN Infirmary Quick Guide":

Problem: (brief description)
Medium: (compost, coco, rockwool, etc - provide the actual product name)
Feed: (include strength in ec or ml/l, hard or soft water nutes, additives etc, frequency of watering + feeding, + method; drippers, rercirc or run to waste, or when they were last potted up, etc)
Strain: (+ from seed or clone, age)
Climate: (max/min night and day ambient and root/res temperatures and relative humidity, light used, number of plants, how you vent, etc)
Additional info: How long have the plants been affected? Have you had the problem before?
Anything else you think might be relevant..

Pictures including WHOLE PLANT PICS, : (obviously high quality snaps in natural light are best. )

Looking good to me. I'd say it is magnesium defiency. pH runoff 5.8 might be too low for your plant and once you correct it to above 6 pH the situation should get better. Some say that in soil it would be best to have pH around 6.5 or so if you suspect magnesium defiency but since I am DWC guy, I feel I shouldn't give my opinion on that because I don't really have experience on that.

Don't worry about the purple lines because this is a common thing on many strains and it has no effect on the plant.I just removed several lower yellowing leaves on my plants and this happens when plants get older and are in the flowering stage. It's sometime caused by low nitrogen or just because the very bottom leaves just don't get any light. It won't hurt anything to remove the worst leaves. If it continues up the plant you might want to give her a little more nitrogen.

Get your pH up a bit, 5.8 is a bit low for a plant in soil, mid-flower imo. I`d prefer to see pH between 6.3-6.8. :2cents:
so I've added about 13 spoons of line should I add just a bit more then flush with 6.8 water? with a smaller dose of espom?

this help has already been 10x better then any forum I've gon 2 seriously thanks a lot guys. I was thinking the same thing actually as it may be lack of light and a slight ph lockout.

on another forum people told me run off oh is useless is that the case? ph started off at 4.5 lol

Scrappy-- that looking like Mg defc.,... very common! Get going on a dedicated Ca-Mg product, or at least the epsoms (MgSO4)... of more concern to me is that soil pH, as Krug said! --Too acidic,... water is 8.6 out of the tap? ...sounds very hard, do you have a TDS meter, or EC?... there's no need to drop it to 6.4, that's part of the problem,... the other is the acidic soil Fux farms is crapping out these days,.. we're finding bags in the low 5's pH! :nono: ... so, don't adjust the water at all, for now,... the lime is too slow acting to be of immediate help,... How much did you add?? 13 spoons, to the surface? --T, tsp, ..? --that's far too much, in any case,... don't panic, it won't be harmful right away, but I'd remove most of it if possible,...What kind of lime was it, specifically? .... how are you testing pH, with a meter? double check your calibration, and see if the bulb thingy is mucked up with hazy residues, as this can mess with accuracy,... then follow this guide for testing run-off (assuming that's what you doing),...https://www.autoflower.org/index.ph...-for-run-off-testing-and-ph-estimation.41733/

...Nammy's right about the color stripe,.. so common in healthy plants, I find it's not very helpful in diagnostics, really,... might want to up your feed dosage too,... what are the NPK #'s?

ordered the a8 when that gets here n I get a ph reading can someone help me come up with a plan, Would like to get this fixed as its goin to affect yield n has gotten worse. Runoff looks like piss acid looking almost wouldn't want it touching my skin... watered in my tap at 8.0 run off came out at 5.3 this means my ph could possibly be really low frustrating and a kick in the stomach.
