I'm planning on creating a comprehensive list of all the different brands of soil available for growing auto flowers, what works and what doesn't. I've got a lot of brands bookmarked but know that there are a lot I don't have yet. If you all would be so kind, just pop in here and let me know what you're using so I can add them to my list. No explanation needed, just the soil name and if you happen to have a link to it's home page, include that as well. Thanks everyone.

[h=3]Plagron Light Mix[/h]Plagron Light mix is a mix of the very best, carefully selected types of peat. The addition of various types of fibre and perlite result in an aerated and oxygenated substrate, a level found only in a quality Plagron potting soil.
Only a minimal amount of nutrients have been added to Plagron Light mix, so for the first week you will not have to feed your plants. This makes Plagron Light mix the perfect potting soil for seedlings and cuttings, you get to fertilize according to your own judgement and choices.
Because Plagron light mix has minimal feed in it, seedlings and cuttings can go straight into it.
Plagron Light-mix produces the highest yields when used with the other products from "the Terra Concept" of Plagron.

      • Pre-fertilised for 1 week for a fast start.
      • Grower decides everything about fertilisation.
      • Rapid rooting through low EC value
pH: 5.5 - 6.5
EC: 1.0 - 1.2 mS
NPK : 12-14-24

Plagron Royalty-mix contains a carefully selected combination of organic fertilizers which meet all the plant's nutritional requirements throughout the complete cycle. These Plagron fertilizers are unique because they are only released exactly when the plant needs them. Plagron Royalty-mix is Plagron's premium product.

For a really easy grow for a complete beginner I would use Plagron Light Mix and put a sprouted seed into a container about 0.5 Litre pot. Let the seed grow for 7-10 days maximum then transplant into a 10 - 15 Litre pot with Plagron Royal Mix. Only feed water the entire time. Job done :)

Well no Soil but over here i reconized that they Love Coco Star Coco. It has Some Trichodermas added and worked out Propper. Soil i will test the Bio Bizz Light Mix soon as this has worked out for my Photos.

One potting soil sold in Europe that USED TO BE perfect for weed has now taken a f'd up turn. It's Compo Sana Quality Potting Soil. Put it on your Do Not Use list, Muddy.

I'm feeling lazy tonight so I'll copy and paste what I said about it in my thread.

According to the Compo site, the soil has a pH of 5.5 - 6.5. Here's the absolute shit part, taken from their site. (I threw the bag away right after filling the pots so I can't read what it says on there. But the bag was bought roughly three weeks before I filled the pots):

180 - 600 mg/l N Stickstoff verfügbar (CaCl2)
150 - 600 mg/l P2O5 Phosphat verfügbar (CAL)
200 - 600 mg/l K2O Kaliumoxid verfügbar (CAL)

So how totally F*d is that?! Possible fluctuations of up to 300%??!! Then in the description -the marketing part- they say it has "...Organic NPK, Time Released NPK,..." See? It doesn't say that the Time Released NPK is also organic...
Shit has me nervous. I'm so bummed about this change that they've made. They had a whole big data sheet with very detailed info on their site and now it's just not there. So they're hiding something, in my opinion. Untrustworthy, in my opinion and they've lost a customer.

The stuff is made here in Germany, so I've done a lot of German forum hopping and low and behold- lots of others are wondering what the hell happened to our cool CS QBE. All the "Big Wigs" in those forums are advising people to stay away, or only use their seeding mix. This stuff is also exported to Austria, Switzerland, Spain and France -probably more places- so Europe, be advised.

I've also had amazing results with Plagron, and with shipping it's just an Euro or two more expensive than the now useless Compo Sana. I'll be gladly spending those two extra Euros from now on.

:Sharing One:
