That's right... She has a worm farm.... Lol

It's actually pretty cool. It's got some real nice soil on top that's been made over time with compost and a bunch of worms. There's a filter on the bottom so that all the juices at the bottom.

The problem is, we're not really sure what to do with all the goodness that's leaked out while the worms breed and poop. Anyone got any good ideas for teas and the like?

We're total rookies with this stuff. She just wanted to see if she could do it.

Awesome!!! That stuff is gold bro, I'm getting one soon. Mix that with your soil. And the liquid can be mixed 1 part to 10 parts water as a tea!

There is a thread in the organics section hold on here we go

Awesome bro! Way to easy!

I'm hoping to use the soil for next year's grow. We live on the beach, so we have shit tones of kelp that we wanna start working with as well. The liquid I'll start using right away, as is, but by next year I'm hoping to come up with a sweet concoction with all the goodness we brew up over the winter.

The bins are super easy to make. And loads of fun watching all the little wormy babies multiply and do their thing. You'll love it.

Bloody AFN... Getting me all excited about growing again, and trying new things...

Is this a dumb question - Can I go to a beach and collect kelp?! Actually what is it?

This stuff in particular is what iI'm talking about. But from what I understand you can use any seaweed. Beach stuff should be fine... Thats what iI'm gonna try anyway.

Heres a link on how.

Thats plentiful at the beach near me-everytime I learn something new about organic growing I'm like 'oh yeah, I can get that for free'-because that's how things work! There were no synthetic's or DWC 500 years ago :gthumb:

:Hookah:

Sry I'm medicated..

Dazed..

Dude!!Id have a field day with that stuff man!!LOL! Nice link too btw!!Only issue with that link imo is they throw everything in it and depending where your kelp is sourced and the waters it's grown in will really tell a deeper tale of how well it'll do.Land based is really what your after if you can find certain things.Sea based is excellent so dont misunderstand me man.But land based is much more universal towards plant microbes n the like.and its far more beneficial too.

But you could easily make your own Fish I would go with the unconventional farmers( http://theunconventionalfarmer.com/recipes/fish-fertilizer/ )version of fish food and add some molasses (blackstrap if ya got it) and you and add your Juice with the fish while bubbling..once thats done wait a short bit and it'll build a little..lotsa bubbles too...then add a small pinch er two of a myco multispectrum of your choosing..or two if ya got em. then wait..then add some feather or cotton seed meal OR bone meal depending if your transition or bloom.or similar products natural or otherwise.

I personally wouldn't stick preservatives from a synthetic source into my soil or plants..but agreed is totally a good product, and id use it if my belief system in all that wasnt the way it is..buut LOL! yer farm sounds awesome man!!Best of luck..in most tea recipes you can replace half the fish and some compost n things with that bit of stuff ya got..

Right on Eyes! I was hoping you would jump in.

Thanks for the info man! Next year's grow is gonna be way to much fun! I'll use what I have to water my girls for now, but next summer, I start from scratch, with some sweet homemade brews!
