Grow Room what's considered micro grow

I believe I am just considered a tiny, cramped space. 20 in x 48 in. x 60 in. tent, but accounting for lights hanging and heat zone, maybe 36 in or so for canopy height. I scrog to account for it.

Almost the same as me!! Except you have far more vertical! I have 26" of growing space, allowing for a 4" clearance from plant tips to lights surface.

haha all your spaces seem huge to me in comparison.

But thinking on it i would say anything under 2'x2'x3' or roughly 70cm cubed or 350 liters of space would be considered micro and in past HPS "non led" days you could run a 250 watter in the space, but above that your definitely in the mini to small / closet size range such as a 3'x3' area in the past you would be running around a 400w to 600w hps and that's definitely not micro in anyway thats for sure.

Now im definitely on the farther end of that micro spectrum at 0.8 and 0.6 Sqft which is pretty damn small compared to 99% of the growers out there that's forsure

I've been doing a 16"x16"x37" originally with a mars 300, but I converted that to a 4 cob light, seems way too intense, so I cut 2 of the 4 out for the next run to see where that goes

WDH 42x20x38 with 2 x Mars300's I consider myself a cabinet grower but the techniques come from here not the folk who are growing multiple large autos in either large soil grows or by witchcraft in water,

I think in the previous website (or one of them) there was a Micro and Mini (or something) sub-section. So I guess the powers that be have settled it for us - we're ALL Micro Growers now.

:bighug:

I was also considering COBs but I thought you were supposed to keep a good clearance from the tops with those so had dismissed them :nono: some of Mephistos 'medium sized' when trained can get with a few inches of the LEDs here. Perhaps there's some sort of light diffuser technology that could be used cause if a couple would work I'd certainly appreciate the drop in temperature as well as loosing 2 noisy fans on the Mars.

I might build a cab that is 10”w x 6”d x 15” height that has 2 chambers. 2 15w screw in leds in flower , 1 15w screw in led in Veg. Would this work? It might be hard to build a cab this small.

Plan is one tiny mother and pull a fresh clone every 2 weeks that goes straight to 12/12...

Should get 4-8g every 2 weeks.

Should i get the wood and do it myself? Would cost some time.

Just like this but WAY smaller:

Please do this, would love to see how it turns out. Could be quite a challenge, but definitely a fun one

Instead of spending $100 and 4 hours building a cab. I will use a Rubbermaid tote instead! I will use a standard 18-20l tote with a micro tote inside or 5 gal bucket. I will purchase everything for under $20 this weekend and get building.

Just will need to fab something for the exhaust, intake to prevent leaks. Or perhaps cut one tub in half and use it as a blocker. I believe this is even more stealth than a cab. Cabs might be pre 2015 stealth wise, but nobody in the world would question a Rubbermaid tote.

Hey Micro Growers!

Can I come and play with you all here?
Next grow will be indoors, space about 30 cm x 90 cm x 90 cm high.
On top will be a cheap 100 W COB (supposed real draw).
Half the space will be a little DWC unit for lettuce.
The other half will be my herbs.
I'm thinking 6 plants, 4 in 2L pots, 2 in 1L pots.
Herbs and lettuce share the space, but lettuce can go if I need the room.

Do I qualify for a micro grower?
I really want to learn some micro techniques from you all.

My last few grows have been outdoors.... under the sun...
But many years ago I started with a standard 400 W HID
in an area about 1 m2, give or take.

My main concern is how to deal with plant height.
So aim in choosing 2 L and 1 L pots is to keep them down.
2 strains are pure CBD, 2 strains are about 2:1 CBD:THC,
and 2 strains will be usual THC strains.
The CBD strains are ... sativa dominant .....

Any advice appreciated, ASAP, cos I'm setting up this weekend.

Love and hugs,
MJS
