hello i am new to growing autos and i live in central california i was planning on growing in a green house but i dont know when to start cause i heard that i should wait till like april or may but some other people are already growing and its february does anyone know when is the best time. medical patient by the way. thanks.

You can grow in a greenhouse any time,but you will need some back up heater if the weather gets cold.Also with the short daylight hours you will probably need some kind of supplemental lighting.If you can do that go for it ,if not I would wait until early spring when the weather is warmer and you have more daylight hours.

I'm also in CA - in the Bay Area here. I'm planning to plant mine in containers in the backyard after the last frost (usually end of Feb??) and hope to get a few rounds in this season. The seeds are designed for hard to grow areas of the world, so I'm guessing if you planted now you'd be OK, since you have warmer weather than we do and I would think the greenhouse would make it even nicer...
Both my husband and I have our medical cards, too, and we've grown regular plants for a few years, but this will be my first try with autoflower.
I have Barney's Sweet Tooth. What strain(s) are you growing this season?

Hey Gee what part of the valley? There are two schools of thought here. The one crop a season and the multi-auto flower. If just once you would center the time of the grow around June 22cnd. For multi you do your first cycle as soon as fog stops being a problem. You can augment your green house with some economical 14w led panels and run year round as long as you can stay above freezing or bring the plants in on really cold nights.
