I concur with the gents above. And, for me, coconut oil is the most versatile. After making a batch, I usually make some skin lotion/salves, capsules (I process the oil for these with lecithin, to help the body absorb it efficiently). I also use the coconut oil for brownies, and Magic Bars (YUM!). I have a Moto pot to make butter in small quantities, generally for cookies/muffins.
As for strains, I generally use indica/hybrids. My favorite strains for oil are White Widow, Purple Kush, CBD Skunk Haze, and I'm really looking forward to using Chemdog as soon as my plants are done (just started week 5/flower).
I made a large run of coconut oil with PK, and so far the lotion I make with it has healed-I shy away from the word "cured"- skin cancer on 3 family members! Just applying it, 3x daily, to the affected areas. Powerful medicine, that!
