New Grower which led would you buy??

Hi all
ive done about 3 or 4 grows with autos with various results but its getting better.i only have room for a small diy growbox the canopy size is about 40cm X 60cm i use 5 X 20w cfl's at the min i just use red spec the whole way through.the max amount of plants ill have in there is 2...but 1 will be ready about 4 weeks ish before the next.trying to establish some kind of perpetual thingy...anyway im gonna make the switch to led but realy dont want to go over 100 w due to the leccy meter and wondered which led light would be best and give best results for my space....do u think id see much better results if i switched to led compared to my current set up????

Prakasa do a full spectrum cob for 100 quid and is 100w actual draw

I got a Prakasa and am very happy. I also got a Viper and it is a bit noisy on the fans compared to the Prakasa but is good value.

I can't comment on others cuz I have no experience of them. The leccy bill and heat is minimal from LED's. And IMHO the way to go.

Ive seen on ebay a led light thats dual spec but lets u switch between the two...because im a tight bastard with the leccy i brought a 125 dual spec cfl and i thought the results didnt warant the extra watts.i knd of put that down to the to it being dual spec....so although its 125 w dual spec thats only round about 60 watts of each....i see better results with my 5 red cfls....
the one i saw on ebay was bright green colour...lol.not sure the name...ill have a look now

Not personally used one but seen grows using them. They have been around for a number of years and were called the "LED Zeppelin" though different resellers also put different names to it, more recently they have gone under the name "Reflector" or "Reflector series".

If your thinking of going 150W then can't go wrong with a Vipar, my B2X3 is 150W actual draw and you can switch of half the lights and have use only 75W actual draw.

The price is higher than your £100 budget @ £169.99 but it does the job and ships directly from the UK.

Currently I am using a total of 510W actual draw and it is only costing me £1.20 a day running lights 24/0

1ooW actual draw run for 24 hours will cost approx £0.24 a day and 150w actual draw run 24 hours a day will cost approx £0.36 a day.

Consider this it cost less a day to run a 150W actual draw LED 24/0 than it costs to buy a packet of crisps or if you like 2 bags of 20p space raiders.

If you worried about cash flow it is better cut a few treats at the shop and spend the money on growing your herbs which will cost a lot more to buy than to grow.

Which, unless I'm mistaken (and I don't think I am) are rebranded TopLED.

I have 3 Apollo Horticulture LEDs - 2 UFO's (a 135W and a 180W) and a 300W Reflector Series. Love em.
