Also, I would suggest two plants for the flowering max, unless you just have some small plants. I can only fit two of these 5 gallon root builder pots in here comfortably. Could probably fit 3 square pots and scrog which I wanna do in the future but I wouldn't have room for my humidifier. If you go 3 gallon pots, three should be good but again, If they are monsters, that 20" inches of space will be taken up quickly. My mazar is LST'd and I'm glad I did so. It would be bananas in my tent right now

Wow okay, Im kind of turned around. Thats not a bunch of news I wanted to hear, but Im glad I did. What kind of of leds do you recommend now?

Mars II 700 wattage in a 2x2.5x6'7 gorilla lite line tent with 2 3 gallon smart pots and a big ass "slender" fan. The Regular mars line are pretty hefty but most def worth it. The reflector are good line as well, I am not sure about the new ones they have out they look pretty cool but they just came out so you know they are going to have some flaws, I would wait a little while before investing in one of the new ones as they are pretty pricey.

I'm using a mars 2 400w and a blackstar 135w side by side and I'm using an old fan from a vapor type humidifier. 30x18x32 tent. No heat problem what so ever.

Repurposed fan from vaporizer humidifier. Low budget at its finest

Again, some people have had no problem with heat like bromeo and have had success. We have the same tent though and that 600w old style light created too much heat. It uses 5w diodes. I would prefer using a light with 3w diodes. People say, 5w, 7w, etc.. is better. Understand, when it comes to LEDS, wattage is not the measure of power when considering light output in turn more yield. It is PAR.....Get n LED with great PAR and your golden. There are many videos on youtube of people comparing the mars lights to other brands and MARs falls short. I knew this prior to purchasing but I wanted to save money. I wouldve been better off just spending a little bit more. The website frowns against reviewing before finishing a grow but look for an LED with 3w diodes and see if you can find a comparison video for it online anywhere.

I more often then not look for the best deal. 3w didn't turn into junk overnight just because 5w came along. I've seen some absolute monsters grown under 3w diodes. I'll buy last year's technology in a heartbeat.

I ordered a platinum led. Theres a video on youtube comparing the mars 700 to it and there is no comparison. Less wattage used and two times the PAR. I'm sold. Heat has been an issue this entire grow and I hope that this is the solution

yeah those secondary lenses really do magnify the output but the footprint is smaller than a led without them.
I think marshydro came back with their own video explaining that, they put some lenses into a MARS II unit to compare PAR with another unit without them.
What about Umoles? isn't that the correct way of reading output? PAR this and PAR that. theyre should be more information than just PAR readings, besides, all those grow journals with the MARS II sort of proves it.
As far as the platinum led goes, I myself have used the eshine version, or original? it doesn't matter... anyway, I had good results with it, I thought it was a good led, results were good, it was fairly quiet running and it stayed relatively cool.
Gave it away to another mate to try and guess what he also had? yup, a MARS II 700W.
The 3g was over 4 plants, the Mars over 4
Well after a couple of weeks you could clearly see the difference in growth under these leds. the Eshine one was getting lots more vertical growth compared to the plants under the MARS.
But....wait...it aint other yet... lol... when harvest day came, both lots of plants looked totally different, the 3g were tall and lanky and coated in buds, the mars plants grew sort of lanky but only had fist sized buds at the tops. ? lollipop buds.
all plants were the same cuttings from the same mother plant aswell. Did make us laugh. was a odd thing to see.
Strangest thing about it was the yield were both the same! even tho they looked so different they both yielded the same dry weight.
So, yeah, head fuck. lol. I try not to think about it too hard these days, I prefer just to go on results,. but if its true readings ya want then its Umoles youll be needing. Not PAR.

Thanks for mentioning umoles. The comparison videos I've watched also mentions that and the Mars Hydro shows sub par when compared to other brands. Thanks for the reminder. I couldn't remember the word. Like I've said though man. I'm not here to argue. I'm still a newb. As mentioned already....People have grown great plants with the mars hydro. Moooons, me and you have the same tent, I'm sure the set up is going to be similar. I can only go off what I've done. I find it hard that people can't state their opinion and keep it at that. Well let me downplay that comment then state how I feel. Staaaawp it. State your peace and keep it moving. Don't read my comments and make an argument. The thread creator isn't here for that. Now, obviously, it is your money, your decision. I just wanted to state that I have had high temps with the mars in that same set up. Now....Anyone who wants to have a debate/argument or conversation of opposing views please comment on my profile page. You will be answered with no response. Stop wasting time making strawman arguments. Roll a nice one and move on. @mooons is the only person you need to worry about in this thread. Don't get upset with me because I don't give the light a 5 star rating. If you've read this far and you feel some type of way, you should. You have wasted your time, again, and now you're thinking of some uber intellectual comeback about lord knows what. Just stop while ahead. It's unnecessary, time consuming and you could be doing something better with your time. Hit this after you feel better
