Mephisto Genetics White crack.. biotabs vs regular feeds

I'm not going to name drop but there was another seed company selling tabs. I went back to get some but I think they stopped selling them. I wanted to try them and forgot to add them to my cart. I wonder how hard it would be to make your own?

I personally wouldnt know where to start, you would need the chemicals in solid form i suppose but also make them into a form that releases them slowly enough to last throughout the grow.

I am about to start some Biotabs, I have some of their other nutrients to start them off and at week 5. Your Biotab girl is way out ahead, I would pluck some leaves off of both of those plants. Defoliate some Nabzter, just a couple leaves every few days to expose more bud to light and get the leaves away from the watering zone. Good luck

Thanks for the info slow but im not much of a plucker myself especially at this stage, im more a tucker than a plucker :crying:. Iv never actually seen much benefit in defoliation especially since the fans are the energy processing units for the plants. Its the leaves that where most the photosynthesis takes place. I know this is an age old debate and im not looking to open a can of worms however i have never seen any concrete evidence supporting either side of the argument.
I do however defol a little later on in flower as leaves start to yellow.

Im relying on some serious stretch from short and stocky once initial flowering kicks in properly and hopefully that will open up the structure a little.

Also because this is a comparison i need to leave them as natural as possible just incase one gets better treatment than the other.

But thanks for the input dude, appreciated.

I don't mean defoliate the whole plant, but you have some useless leaves near the bottom. They will fall of later anyhow. I wouldn't count on a massive stretch with low temps. Good luck, will be following.

Its getting so cold and temps are becoming such an issue im going to flip the hps to 24hrs later today. Iv also ordered a greenhouse heater so that once i get my new LEDs hopefully the heater will compensate for the diff in temps from the hps to LED.

Ok so the new lights are finally in place. A viparspectra 450 reflector and a marshydro 180 ufo. Total draw now approximately 300w which means i can run 24hrs to combat the cold issues when lights are out and at the same rime still use less electric. Fingers crossed all will work out.

I also gave in and gave these little bushes a bit of a defol particularly at the base so i could feen more easily.

LEDs are going to be a new learni g curve for me and hopefully i can still produce like i did with hps.
