White Widow Auto - Organic Grow early flower deficiencies help!

:toke: hedz-- I'd say you have more than one issue here,... more than one defc., and pH in-pot is suspect,... Symptoms look like Mn defc., I see some possible P defc. too,... Like Nammy said, your soil was fairly rich when you started, but even with the teas (what exactly? any idea about the N-P-K in it?), it's not enough to carry her through in good shape,... unless you have the kind of "super" soil that can carry and release enough nutes to finish with, you'll need to feed more, especially micronutrients,... there are lots of good organic nutes, some bottled for ease of use,...Roots Organic line, General Organics,.. some others too, a few are a mix of organic and synthetic... I run both on my plants!
A myth to dispel, using organics means you don't have to even monitor the pH in the pots- :nono:... plenty can go off using organic nutes to cause off pH in there,... typically you don't need to pH adjust the feed solution though, unless it's really acidic (feeds are in general),.... If you grow in soil, get a pH probe for testing in-pot; the Accurate 8 is good model for this,...
So, what to do,... you need to get more properly balanced feeds in there, higher PK; micronutes, I like Earth Juice Microblast,... As for the in-pot pH, that's more difficult to asses; what's you water source like for pH and hardness? I'm need to figure out if the soil in in fact off range,... barring a dubious run-off test, let's first see what the water info is,... then maybe take a very crude run-off test,....

Hi Waira,
Thanks for the feedback- as this is the 1st attempt for us with organic gardening, my wife and I appreciate the advice. I feel real good about this method to deliver my wife the best meds possible (cancer survivor, also advanced kidney disease, severe arthritis). She has been vaping and eating our homemade edibles for 6 months now and she has been able to reduce her use of the fentanyl patch by about 1/3. Our goal is to eliminate the use of opioids.
Meanwhile back at the ranch - I checked the soil ph with the instrument that we have. It is showing a ph of 6.0. The water is distilled and usually around 5.3 ph.

View attachment 884631 View attachment 884632 View attachment 884633 Hi Everyone - we are currently organically growing 2 White Widow Autos from CKS. All was well until about a week ago (see attached photos). We have our soil (pro mix organic amended with EWC, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, perlite, bokashi). The plants are 55 days old and in total have hade 3 feedings of aerated compost tea. As I mentioned earlier, the plants looked very good until about a week ago when the spotted leaves started to show up. They are getting progressively worse each day. This is our 1st organic grow. Please help with some advice. The girls are 18/6 under 3 led lights (1 platinum p300, 2 viparspectra 450’s) which are about 18 inches above the highest colas. Grow temps are 81 degrees lights on and 70 lights off. Humidity is 45-50%.
Those dark patches are P deficiency along with Cal/mag

..Promix is a fine peat based soilless medium, but it devoid of nutrients,.. what you amended isn't near complete in coverage or in (lasting) quantity, and nothing for micronutes.. Look into Biotabs, and Mephisto/GBD 's "super soil" amendment that you just mix in and then just water,... of course with organics like this, it's all about the microbes, so I should add using inoculants and enzymes,... Si is very good stuff ( a n/a product for "organic"),... some folks still add some PK boosting goodies too during bloom,... Don't sweat a little non-organic, or n/a organic supplements use while running organic nutes,... bottom line is despite the other myth that synthetics lay utter waste to the microbes seems to be debunked from what I've read,.. what kills them is off-pH and heavy nute salt build-up, which isn't an issue with organics generally... but organics need time to break down, release is slower and usually less concentrated than synth. nutes,... But bottom line, the plant takes in only certain specific nute ions, not just any form of them, and in organics, such components are still broken down into those same forms that are in synth. nutes-- nitrate is nitrate, Ca++ is Ca++,...
What did you use to take the soil pH? If it was one of those skinny probe units, it's readings are not to be trusted.... but the fact that it registered anything but 7.0 give or take a point or two does indicate that the soil might be too acidic, which locks P out,.. fine for micro's, that's a lack of issue there,...
Don't bother checking the pH of pure water, it's pointless, and the meters aren't designed to work in such pure water (has to do with how they work),... such low ppm/EC water is stripped of ion, including hardness minerals (mainly CaCO3), which is responsible for pH buffering (carbonate part really, not the Ca so much),.. so with zero buffering, the pH is going to swing wildly from even small inputs!....

Hi Waira,
Sorry to take so long in getting back to you. It’s been one of those weeks. Thank you again for all of the guidance regarding organic growing. I went and purchased a small box of organic nutes (General Organics) from our local head shop (it was the only product that they had). I have fed the 2 auto white widows twice in the past 8 days. I used 1/4 of the amount recommended for early flower for the first feeding and close to 1/2 the amount recommended for the second feeding. The plants have recovered by at least 1/2 of what they were. I am hoping that after a couple of more feedings we will be back to normal. We’ll do our best to have a successful harvest despite the set back. They are now at day 62 since they sprouted through the soil. I will post a picture later on today. Thanks again!

medione is good base nute. I use it for veggies.

You totally have a micro nute def. I recomend Azomite and langbeinite. Azomite has everything you need, and is relativly quick acting. In conjunction with a foliar spray and the light raise you will be back on track. For growing organic you have to preload your soil with non caustic additives and beneficial organisms. The nutrient release organics is accomplished over long time frames, and a lot of mineral nutes can just leach out anyway. Langbeinite however is the only fast acting potassium and magnesium source I know of that won't alter pH in organic soil, your going to want that after recovery for the finishing stages.

...sounds good dude, GO makes decent stuff! You probably can start feeding full strength soon, as the organics are pretty mild,... consider using inoculants; it's the diverse soil herd that responsible for breaking the components down into available forms,... I also recommend getting a micronutrient supplement, as it's pretty common to get micro defc.'s with organic nutes like GO,... Earth Juice Microblast is my fav' one...

Hi Waira, I have been using the GO nutes for 3 feedings now, next feeding I will go to full strength. I also ordered the Microblast after I read you ur post tonight. It will be here on Friday. Our plants have recovered to about 85% of what they should be. It is day 72 for the 2 white widows. Last time that we grew these autos, they finished at 95-100 days, so I am still working towards a decent harvest. How do you feed the Microblast? What inoculants do you recommend to feed the soil? Thank you for feedback.

....:greenthumb: great! My friends turned me onto Recharge, a dry product,.. check Amazon for it, IMO it's a great value! ...Microblast can be used in pot or as a foliar at half strength... you need a wetting agent to do proper foliar, which will help the solution coat and stick more evenly,.... spray tops and bottoms of leaves, out of direct light until dry,.... I like Coco-Wet for this, but ther are lots of good products for this,...
for defc.'s, treat 2-3 times over a week foliar, and feed into pot as directed for a couple rounds, then dose once week to keep steady low levels around,...
