New Grower why go auto?

The real question is why not go auto :D

I love autos because i hate the lighting schedule of photos and the time it takes to harvest. With autos i can harvest 5-7 plants/half a pound in just 60 days!!!! I love how i can just walk in the grow room and sit with the ladies without worrying if i screwed them up with a little light. I can also start an auto in the grow room anytime i want without worrying about veg time and etc. I'm not sure if i got a hold of a good strain or not but the auto "white dwarf" i have been growing and smoking is strong as hell, it makes the Mexican bag swag Ive been growing and buying feel weak. The smoke from the auto is INSANE, its sweet and smooth just the way i like it. I never had a problem with disease, nutrients, and etc. like i have had with many photos. Autos are one tough plant.

OP here, the reason i was absent from the rest of the tread is because i went
away from the computer, simple as that, time zones being different and all

..That is why we thought you were a Troll...I was just back checking the thread myself to see if you had posted...:cough:
got to admit they're getting better, they're getting better all the
time...

PW..do you know it is the Growers that are getting Better all the time.
Original JEM has been around for years..She hasn't changed..
But..
the growers now get Double and Treble the yield from her now than they did a few years ago.

Odd isn't it..?..:cough:..They had to Teach us how to Grow Them..

This is a bit of a cruel photo..I Love photos too
But this is a photo/auto roll..
so on the left is the photo pheno..and on the right is the auto sibling.

Same genetics..same conditions..same grower..

Although I'll get a great yield off the non-auto later on in the season..I Prefer the Bud on the auto version..
The auto is Down in the dehydrator and the non-auto isn't even off pre-pistilate.

OK I'll rain on autos for a moment....

I love all MJ autos, fems, photos, highly light sensitive...

Auto pitfalls.
1. fuck it up in the first 2-3 weeks you got a dwarf.
2. if it takes more than 90 days... you maybe wasting money over a photo strain.
3. cant clone.
4. bigger the buds...MOST of the time lower the potency.
5. Therefore much harder to grow than a photo.

I'm not saying this to rain on anyone.... But autos are not a holy grail. But you want a sexy little plant for your yard or balcony its the way to go.

Number 4 is very interesting cres! Now you mention it, and i think back to some of my bigger buds, you're right (or perhaps i should say some of my smaller looking plants have been more potent)!
I'm looking forward to trying one of your photo sensitive strains, they sound delicious - variety is the spice of life (for me) ! ^_^

There really is a ton of negative information regarding autos. I can understand why someone would question their viability. I watched many reviews (videos) that went something like this:

I paid 14dollars a seed! I put the seeds in the dirt~ 3 out of 4 were males! That leaves me this one plant that I transplanted in this 2 litter bottle! I put this plant under my sink for the 6 weeks per the seed company's recommendation . I only got 3/4 an ounce from this plant!

They start doing the math with all the crazy things they spent money on...and their conclusion is that it is not worth it.

But with a little research, you realize that you can find good seeds that are feminized for a decent price; There are methods of growing that can go a long way in helping guarantee a good crop. I doubt this guy is a troll...he is just trying to sift though all the BS.

everything has its place, and a photo wont grow under your kitchen sink...lol...and an auto will not produce 4lbs in a 200gal pot. My early light sensitive strains will finish in 90 days outside june 1st to sept 1st... there not auto, and will beat mant super autos to the finish line...so it works both ways. We all love the common MJ but we should also love the diversity of what has been breed and is still be breed for grows of tomorrow.

Five years ago I said someday there will be a 1lb auto @ 60 days... The time is very near now...
