There's a famous quote :
"The world is at war because every man (person) is at war with him (her) self"
So that means, the world is broken, because every person is broken within themselves.
We all have a fragmented consciousness.
We all start our lives with our parents as the main feed of information.
Then we have television "the drug of the nation, feeding ignorance, and breeding radiation".
I call TV the 'third parent'.
Then we have school, we meet other people trying to be themselves, but under the umbrella of what our mums and dad tell us what is right or wrong.
Then we go to work, and meet everyone who is trying to escape A) The Parents, B) The TV and C) Our peers ...
What is real ?
If you are lucky, you are a well-loved child, but even then you take on the world-view of your parents and the TV and spend a lot of time trying to becom your self ...
There's a famous 60's poem, it starts off "They fuck you up, your mum and dad ..."
I can't remember how the rest of it goes, but we really do spend our lives trying to be ourselves rather than the product of someone else.
I don't believe in the God that is described in books, whether it be the Bible or the Jewish version or Islam, but, when i look at the stars, i can't help but believe there is something greater than us all that, due to us being so tiny, we can never hope to describe.
Even modern quantum physics is at a loss, we can't even explain gravity or magnetism.
I like to think that there is/was an intelligent designer and that she/he was completely bored one day, so bored that s(h)e split herslef up into a million trillion pieces (everything in the universe) and said to her(him)self "When all these pieces manage to find a peaceful equilibrium and rejoin, as one, then the universe can be at peace with itself."
I'm not religious in the conventional sense but when i gaze at the stars, i can't help but think upon how small we are, and how little we know.
I hope one day we all come back together as the one and only loving singularity that we surely all are.
I am you, you are me, there is no separatness (spelling ?), we truly are all one.
We all need to love and be loved and everything we do is an expression of that.
