Currently have a couple of beans cracking. This is my first experience with autos. Trying some wild Thai Ryder and some fast and vast. Have a 1mx1mx2m area 600w hps not knowing what to expect I don't know how many I need. Growing in soil 25l pots (hoping to maximize there size.) I'm thinking 2 each also can you scrog these strains of auto. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

WTR is pretty awesome punch to the brain strain, I just finished it and I think I am the only finished version, since I bought it the week it came out. I would be more inclined to just spread it out with LST instead of Scrog since it is a very fast strain (based on my pheno)

consider adding perlite, coco or something along those lines to your soil to make it more airy and offer less resistance to root growth, soil on its own can get a little compact and this can lead to stunted autos.
that along with your 600w and 25 ltr pots you should yield well

Sorry should have stated the soil has a base of quality mix plus pearlite ,coco, compost ,dolomite, aged chook shit and worm castings.
I am jumping the gun here but would an expected yeild be around 1-2oz per plant be average .(organic) nothing against hydro but after smoking a lot of it in the early 90's soil is the only way to go plus it tastes better although the yield is diminished
Could any one tell me how high the mesh should be (scrog) or is it more a matter of it depends on the plant

Just tucked the girls up in their new pots after they had cracked so this is day 1of the journey. Heaps keen to see how they advance over the next coming weeks .
Have many people had experience with wos wild thailand ryder? Sound like a good sativa high without the long flower .Interested to see what sort structure she has. Can't wait

I am the only one with a completed GJ so far on here 2 others I know of that are currently growing like Bayes and I cant remember the other, just click the link in my sig for mine. Its organic as well but went with a let it go natural (no training) and got just under 2oz

you have the makings for multiple oz a plant, big pots, strong light, and soil sounds good, hope not to much on the chook shit, dont want the soil mix to hot for autos, they are very sensitive in the first 2 weeks in particular.

this being said having the makings of multi oz's doesnt always work that way, especially in the first few auto grows, my fingers are crossed you reach the potential of your set up first grow. I am subbed and will be keeping an eye on the grow.
my best advice from here is keep it as simple as possible, the more you complicate it the greater the chance of something going wrong and in many cases one thing wrong and you wont hit multi oz's, this is why you should always have the attitude of a learning grow,if you get oz's great, if not then the lessons learned will help maximise future grows

Thanks heaps for the feedback guys. Just wondering how much pot size, say 15l to 25l , effects the size ,yield and harvest time . Sorry if I'm all questions but I'm trying to learn as I go . I'm more after quality a nice high and the ability to say good bye to buying than huge yields but that's always a bonus.

so many other variables to give that a real answer, soil mix and nutes make a difference too, but its pretty simple the bigger the root structure the bigger the plant and 25 ltrs has the potential to be massive

i have found with my grows the smaller the pot the faster the grow, though I can not rule that out as simply being coincidence

Imho it is more about the dimensions of the pot that really make the difference. There are soooo many variants to pots is ridiculous they even have gal/liter sizes :cuss:.

For instance next time you on a grow site compare for say 3 different 5gal pots.
1. Roots organic 5gal fabric
- 11inT x 10.25w

2. Grow pro square 5 gal (actual volume .75 CF)
-11.8T x 12.6

3. Airpot:
12.4"H x 11.5" Outside Diameter (10" base)
4.Dirt brand fabric pot
12"D x 10.5"H Exact Volume: 5.14 gal (volume .52 cf)

Tall pots will give taller plants where a stout pot as they call it will bush them out like my Chode pheno.

just depends on what you are trying to do to maximize efficiency of you grow area and end result. But I try to pair the pot to the predicted growth pattern to aid it a bit. 3 gal is really drastic spread thou!.
