Hey guys!

I have a plant that has lots of seeds coming in - yay. I'm wondering if I can place her in a dark spot for a week or two to finish maturing because I like to use the space for something else.

Would the seeds develop or is this risky and better not done?

Thanks.

In nature, seeded buds still get some amount of light, so I assume maybe some florescent at least would be necessary.

Plants seem to really need to invest alot of their energy into developing their seeds, which would make me think it wouldn't be a good idea. I can't say for sure though, as I have never tried. I also don't have the balls to try, but if you attempt it please report back!

I don't know why you are getting downvoted, OP is looking for the most viable seeds I assume, not green or dry seeds that probably won't be as viable as a mature seed. I used this technique to pick my seeds that I grew when I was in college. Worked too well, I had to kill lots of week old plants because all of my seeds germinated. Edit: I also took into account the seed size and only used ones that had a clearly defined "watermelon" pattern. Why? Because those snaptube vidmate seemed important to me.
