Lighting Worried! Autos not flowering under Mars Hydro Reflectors

I was under the impression that the the Veg mode was for the vegetation stage (i.e. first 3-4 weeks) and that from there onward both Veg and Bloom mode was switched on. That's what I was told by Mars Hydro and had read in other forums/posts. I will have a look at your grow. Just finishing reading Mephisto's current thread. I hope they will catch up and have enough time to produce plenty flowers. They look really healthy and bushy, so fingers crossed. Thanks Gonzo.

Pretty interesting thread isn't it, I like how the side be sure comparison show how each light grows the plant. Personally I believe that during flowering the bud on the led will have more resin and be more dense and fatter buds. But we will see later on. Wish you luck, just be patient ,you got pics of your grow?

I have a reflector series as well.

While they advise to use veg for veg and Veg/Bloom for bloom...I think this is
more of a "money saving" setting. I run mine at full spectrum at all times.

That Mephisto LED vs. HPS should not be taken as an LED vs. HPS "Overall"
thread. It should be taken in the context of what it actually is...Brand New, low-draw,
Grownorthern HS-1 Series vs. HPS.

I don't think the results are indicative of all different types of LEDs...just the ones
used.

Ultimately...more light equals better. Up to a point. (and based on appropriate overall spectrum)

Agree with Trap and others that keeping both switches on throughout is more effective. I've grown several plants under 1 96X3 with great results.

Well as a Ex Greenhouse Seedtester i really can Tell You 80% of the Autos ive grown from them i had to Force flower(the pain in the ass if you buy from a Mass Breeeder who dont cares bout the quality or stableness of their Strains). Some of my Sweet Mangos for example went 120+ Days till they were Finished....lil hint from Me Rather go with some Prooven to work Autos like Dutch Passion....Sweet Seeds or Mephisto Geneitcs then You know what YOu get.

I'd wonder how close your lights are to the plants. I have only 90 watt LED UFOs, using one per plant, and I sit the light within 3 or 4 inches of the plant when in flower. My plants show sex about 3 weeks usually. Maybe you're too far away from your plants?

They are about 30 cm away now they are showing some hairs. It's not recommended to have them any closer. I have 2 units for 4 plants (and a very little one). These are normally in flower by 4 weeks, come what may....:-(

hey live4now i have a reflector series 96x3 from topled or now marshydro. i personally use the veg light only for first two weeks then i flip on the bloom for the rest of the grow. been running one to two plants like this and one grow took a week longer than others, but all with great results. be patient my friend.
