Would you be interested in thread and recent post snippets?

On our old software, both recent threads and post replies would actually show a small chunk of the recently posted message in the sidebar. With the new software, this option inherently disappeared.

Would the forum be interested in having this minor tweak put back into place? I found a simple add-on that would bring it back into place:

Where do they show? If on the forum home page, I think it is busy enough already.

I don't care that much one way or another, but I have some sympathy for mano'green's concern.

On the whole, I would not bother because it is unlikely that most snippets would tell me substantially more than the title and location do.
