I've read both pro and con as regards selective pruning to decrease shading and increase yields.

I'm currently growing an Auto Blue Amnesia from the Ministry of Cannabis. This plant is an absolute bush, 37" high and 34" wide. It has more buds than I can count, many on the interior and despite supplemental side lighting they are shaded.

ABA is 51 days old and has been in flower about a week.

Probably the best plant I've grown and I'd hate to screw it up but I really want to prune it to maximize yield..

Seeking advice on whether to prune and if yes, methods of pruning.

With out seeing a pic its hard to say,but from what you are saying you have a lot of small or popcorn buds that are hidden from light.I f they cannot receive any light they wont turn out to be much so I would remove them and this will put more growth into your bigger buds.

I see them, switch over to Chrome Namvet, most things work fine on this browser.

i see them and that plant is NOT shaded anywhere, if i can see through it (including the bottom portion revealing the pot/soil then the light can as well , especially since each leaf lets 85% of the light hitting it pass right through

again , that plant is not shaded and far from what i expected to see from reading your description , imo it would be a disaster removing any leaves , especially since they are not even big huge fat leaves

do what you feel is best though

peace

I did not know that...

I feel much better-thanks for the sage advice guys!"pher Wiggle"

I agree with the rest of you guys,They are looking great and I would leave them alone at this point.

I have an additional question if you would be so kind...

This lady has now reached 39" tall and I'm running out of room, height-wise, and it's still growing an inch or two per day.
Is there a way to arrest the growth upwards and have this plant concentrate on bud production only? I've been feeding with bloom for a while, alternating with Black Strap Molasses, non-sulphered. In my experience the bloom juice is usually enough to stop its vertical growth; not happening this time though.
Another observation: not a single yellow leaf and usually I'll begin to experience fan leaf die-off within several weeks of harvest. This is theoretically a 70 day plant and it's now 52 days old.

You could try super cropping the main stem to address the height issue buddy, or even a bit of lst, just bend her slightly each day :peace:
