Thanks man. Appreciate the feedback. The wire at the COBs themselves is MIL spec. PTFE jacketed silver plated copper, stranded. I use it in my audio gear, the white jacketed is just cheap 16ga speaker wire that I bought for this project. It's also stranded and I don't think it would make a good connection. Ill anchor the wires, solder to the cables and cover with techflex. That should make a nice sturdy and attractive unit.
I love the complete unit, the "autocob". It's sweet and priced right. I am glad i bought them. Now the "almost done"s wow now that is a hot product. You cannot purchase that stuff for that price! It is a marvelous place to start. I bought the stuff, fiddled with the mount a bit, then put the whole thing together as you see it in about two - three hours. Schweet!!
