Indoor WWWillie and the Moonstone Trainwreck

07/15
Day 12
Temp 84 RH 61

Hey!
Things are progressing nicely. Looks like the transplant went well it's been a few days now. They are loving the light and everything else I guess. Here some picture, you be the judge!

Day 15
Temp 84 RH 61

Continuing to look good; the garden is doing well. This has not been easy for me. I have had to do nothing since I transplanted them last week. No watering or anything. Like I said, not easy for me. They will get a bit of feeding with the next watering, which if I am on target will be Sunday 7/20.

Here are some pictures of MoonStones. (I have Trainwreck but need to process them)

You can kind of see the red cast from the LEDs. Trying to blend the lighting just right...

Looking good so far bro, must be hard sitting back and doing nothing..I like to be in there fiddling with the girls every day  :Sharing One:

Hey Pal, your're not kidding! But somehow karma has rewarded me, things are less that optimal at the moment. Here's what I posted in my photo thread as they are all together for now and one of the Trainwreccks has a bit of it now, the MoonStones still look good for now.

Day 16
Temp 82 RH 61

The brown crispy as I call it now seems to be spreading a bit I see signs on the others. Grrrr.. One thing though the new growth on AG looks good. I have not done anything, with the exception of 400 ml RO water to AG, but admire them since the transplant. So... The details, 2x240 watt LED (blackstar clones) 18/6 82F for an average temp RH 62% Soil is the same, 3 clip on fans stirring the air gently, exhaust fan running to keep it a bit cooler. They have been looking great until just a day or so ago.
Fed and watered today, could be cal mag with the heavy LED action so I added a bit of that along with the planned feed of fusion grow and supercharger. Each plant received 450-500 ml. of this pH's to 6.2. No discernible run off for a pH out measurement. I'll try to get some pictures tonight and get them posted.
Things should be OK, stay tuned and learn along with me.
Peace!

OK, So as embarrassing as it may seem I must admit to something. Apparently when I was cleaning and prepping my big flowering tent, I pluged in the 600 watt HPS to test everything and must have left it plugged in, so for about a week it has been firing up for several hours a day! I did not know this!! Ouch! Found it when I was in the grow room later than usual last night and it came on. If my theory about gassing is correct this may be just the reason for the brown and crispy happening to my garden. I have shut it off so let's see if the problem recedes!

Day 35
Temp 83 RH 57

Wow!! Are we really on day 35!! I am pleased to report that I was able to recover from almost certain disaster. The grow, like the entire tent, started to crash right around day 18 or so. That was when I stopped posting. (Oh and about that, sorry, but I needed to stay away from the grow as much as I could. This was to reisit the urge to fiddle with things overmuch. Not posting about it helped a lot.) The leaves started going brown and getting crispy. If the grow crashed completely, it would be the second one!! Yow! Should not have been happening from over feed, over or under watering, the usual suspects. I believe it is one of or a combination of the LED panels I was using, they are too strong and I had them too close or there is something wrong with them. A new tent I purchased "outgassed" poisonous fumes, most likely phtalate from the film inside. China not having the best quality control. Could also be mold as I found some on the wall in a corner. Or whatever!!
So over the past few weeks I tried to find out what was going on and if I could remedy it. First I tried to seal the tent from the other suspect one. I had, had the two combined with 6 inch duct for venting and heating, I severed that connection and sealed them both as best I could and let everything be for a week. Things did not get much worse but no improvement. After that I took out the LED panels and replced with CFL, 8, 23 watt 5.5k after a week they started to look better so I added another 10 CFL a mix of 5.5k and 2.7k. I am pleased to report that things look pretty good now, they look like they are about two weeks behind in size but the four autos have started to flower already!
During this whole time I watered with RO pH'd to 6.2 with 9.8ML of CaMg+/gal and was careful to not over or under water.
If I get off work on time I'll try to get some good pictures tonight!

I was so sure this grow was not going to work out. I am happy to say it looks like I was wrong!! Also the moonstones were the strongest of the group.

Edit: Sorry forgot feeding details.
Last night I fed and watered with RO amended with 2ml Supercharger, 2ml Fusion Grow, 2ml CaMg+ per gallon pH 6.2. Each plant received 900ML of this. Boy the airpots are a bit of a pita to water, need to go real slow. But I guess its good for the plants to water slowly. With 8 it takes a bit of time, I enjoy it, have a little stool and sit there while I pour. Cool...
