Looking good in here! Smart making it as simple as possible for the sitter. Safe travels to you.

Alright so after a couple days.of being away from the garden everything seems pretty good, except one thing... got some fungus gnats flying around the tent:cuss:Well shit... had this problem once and got rid of them (or so i thought i did).
When I had them before i got some gnat mix and did the hydrogen peroxide watering and then let my plants finish , then i shut the room down for a couple weeks where it got to below 0°f for a day or so and bleached and sanitized everything. Then started back up and to prevent them again ive still been using the gnat nix and as some of you have seen i keep sticky traps around so i can see if im getting bugs. Now this time im not shutting the room down again i just did that haha. So now im asking my self where the hell did they come from? The climate where im at is much to cold for them to be active right now so that leads me to believe its from the soil im using... fox farms happy frog. After doing some research ive found this is common issue with this soil and am now looking for another brand. Looked at roots organics same problem.. sunshine mix, same problem... biobizz, same problem... haha so my question to anyone viewin this what would you do? Should I ditch soil.and do hydro? These things are a pain in the ass and do so much damage i dont wanna risk bringing in more with different soils any certain brand anyone recommends? Or.media i should switch too?

Will update with some.pics soon the yellowing is starting to happen fast:wall:

Mosquito dunks are recommended, I have also had good luck with amending food grade Diatomacious Earth into soil. It kills the eggs and larva before they become adults. Also Azamax has worked for me.

Yea ive seen a bunch of people using those ill pick some up crush em up a bit and sprinkle on top of the soil. Im also not going to use air pots anymore after these babys are done, theres a bunch of great entrances for those little bastards to get into. Would you switch the soil company? Or should i just take extra precautions and bake my soil or pre mosquito dunk it? Etc
