Mephisto Genetics YadYams Mephisto Garden

Yea ive seen a bunch of people using those ill pick some up crush em up a bit and sprinkle on top of the soil. Im also not going to use air pots anymore after these babys are done, theres a bunch of great entrances for those little bastards to get into. Would you switch the soil company? Or should i just take extra precautions and bake my soil or pre mosquito dunk it? Etc
If your prepping soil, I prefer the DE as it adds silicates and minerals to the soil. During a grow, the dunks should do the job. Remember that the adults will probably not die till their life cycle ends, may take a week or so to be rid of them. Baking will kill any bennies in there, so I don't recommend that.

Very true on the beneficials didn't think about that im sure the hydrogen peroxide would do the same. Ill grab some dunks and diatomaceous earth today, I also need to buy soil so wondering if i want to switch up brands. Good looks on the input it definitely helps

I've used FF Happy Frog and FFOF, they can be very inconsistent and always has gnats in it. Many like the Roots Original with GBD super soil amendment. I am using a mix of organic garden soil, coco, vermiculite, worm castings, lil guano, GBD SS, garden lime, Epsom salts, Diatomacious Earth.

Thats what the guy just said at my local hydro store.. haha this store is great the guy isnt just trying to sell me stuff he'll tell me where else to go if they dont have it tell me to get it online if its cheaper and he'll ask my opinion on things i even got him hooked on autos now haha but i just picked up some roots orginal with some dunks and diatomaceous earth. Do you mix the dunks throughout the soil to help prep it? Or just do a sprinkle on the top of he soil?

Thats awesome!! Im gonna have to try some experimenting soon definitely want to try my own mix soon as well as try some compost out of the pile I've had for a couple years that I use with my outdoor veggies just gotta figure out how to make sure its free of bug larvae and such

Food grade DE at around 1 tsp. per gallon of medium, has kept me gnat/bug free. Not sure the application of mosquito dunks, thought you dissolve in water and drench the infected medium. @gbd can you steer us in the right direction?

These girls arent the happiest right now due to FG but whatcha gonna do:shrug:hopefully all will be alight soon enough, it's hard to dial them in with the Roots being munched on so ive just been giving them a little less than half strength of the go box recommendations without the marine or AN nutes but have been giving them an added 2ml grow per gallon

Looking good man! Just saw your issue with the fungus gnats... i used the mosquito dunk bits i think they were called and would just sprinkle them on my soil then within a few days or a week they were taken care of
