Hey there, just saw the thread and thought I’d chime in on the gnats.
I’ve tried using gnat nix too, but like you, I’m in fabric pots. Unfortunately, since the roots air prune into the fabric, it gives the gnats a perfect place to lay the larvae.... on the sides and bottom of the pots. Same goes for those air pots.
I know the adults are not harmful to your plants but they can and will get stuck in the trichs. I recommend you get some yellow sticky traps to help.
Also, if you do get the mosquito dunks, make sure they’re not too old. I paid a bit more from my hydro store because I know they were “fresh”. I’ve heard multiple issues with the dunks not working and a lot of people believe it’s due to the decay of the BT.
Lastly, predator bugs are a great natural alternative that is becoming increasingly popular for pest control. They can be messy and expensive, but they’re effective. To quote the bug lady, “there’s no resistance to being eaten.”
