Mephisto Genetics YadYams Mephisto Garden

Awesome thats a bunch of great info thank you! The gnat nix i did do a layer at bottom of planters and i add about 1/2 cup to soil once a week as bunch of it likes to settle down the sides when i pull on em when im moving em. Ive heard great things about diatomaceous earth i picked some up but i dont think its Food grade so ill get some that and mix in my soil when im prepping a planter for a bean, if i still have issues i was gonna try the nematodes
I haven’t tried the DE before, but I have heard it works well. It cuts the bugs as they crawl over the stuff causing them to dehydrate IIRC. Give them bastards what they deserve!

Sorry for being a mother hen, but make sure you use your PPE (personal protective equipment) when handling the DE. It can get into your eyes and respiratory tract causing irritation and inflammation. I recommend eye protection and a dust mask.

Good luck!

Sorry for the delayed update!! One of those weeks where everytbing clashes at once haha I'll get some pics up tonight.
Everything is still doing okay just alot of fading leaves at the moment luckily the ugliest plants are the oldest and almost done. The one that worries me the most is bubbly livers just starting to stack flowers but just browning up at an alarming rate. Ive been putting alot of blame on the gnats but its not a crazy bad infestation I have about 12 sticky traps floating around and only see about two gnats that get stuckevery couple days and i never see them fly around, so that makes me think what the hell did I do haha.
I'll give some specs about the environment and what not to see if you guys would switch anything

5x5x7.5 grow tent
1- 200 watt 4 cob linear fixture (citizen) 3500k, usually 16-24 inches above canopy
1-400 watt 4 cob square fixture (vero) 3500k usually 20-30 inches above canopy
Temps 78-82 f
Humidity 26-35 (this may be a problem)
No fans for canopy or in the tent actually
1 455 cfm exhaust fan with 6 inch 450 cfm rated carbon filter
Intake just natural negative pressure and vents within the tent
3 gal fabric pots ( bubbly.livers, dark devil, double grape, grape walker kush)
5 gal fabric pots ( both AVTs, Heisenburg Special,)
5 gal equivalent air pots ( cosmic queen Chemdogging)
Happy Frog Soil
Roots Original( grape walker kush, double grape)
I think another part of my problem is how ive been feeding them, havent been doing a schedule and haven't been starting low and bumping up slowly, i just kinda hit em hard when theyre done with the budsite building stage (example, 8mls bloom, 2mls bud bio, 5 mls bio marine, 6mls b-52, 10 mls budcandy 6mls calmag to a gallon of filtered water.) That would be ph'd to 6.6/6.7 I use adavnced nutes and GO GoBox. After thinking about it im gonna stop all that and start hitting the plants at 1/4 strength and work up and take alot of the additives out that probably arent that necessary.
If theres anytning im missing let me know!!

Nah, a few gnats aren’t going to hurt a plant in flower from my experience. Usually you get twisted new leaves if they’re hitting the roots too hard.

Your humidity is low, even for flower. I try to stay on the low end of the vpd charts in flower if possible but winter, and the dry furnace constantly kicking, makes it difficult. Bucket with warm water, towel 1/3 submerged for wicking, and a fan blowing on said towel can help considerably. It’s a pain in the ass to maintain, but just a thought.

I’d definitely check your runoff ppm and ph, make adjustments from there. Just make sure if you’re adjusting ph not to overcorrect. So, don’t shoot the ph up to 9 because you’re getting 5.5 at runoff. Correct it slowly.

Some pics of that bubbly livers would help.

Hope this helps! Good luck yam!

Definitely great advice thank you!
I should check the ph of runoff I never do (did once and got a low number... ended up with me almost killing the plant haha just felt like i was chasing things in circles) but now have more experience and will give it a shot! I don't have a ppm pen and was really not wanting to spend a good chunk of change on one especially since im in soil but if it can help i guess why not, you never know i could be way over doing it. As the humidity goes i have a couple different sized humidifiers ill pop one of those in and try to get it around 45-50%
Again thanks for the response and advice ill get some pics up soon!

Here’s the one I use, $17 on amazon, had it for 2 years now, just calibrated it and it didn’t even need it.

HM Digital TDS-EZ Water Quality TDS Tester, 0-9990 ppm Measurement Range , 1 ppm Resolution, +/- 3% Readout Accuracy

Sweet! Ill definitely look into that thanks a bunch!!

Alright after a long overdue update here we go!

So as ive said before definitely have some nasty fading thats happening to me plants still trying to figure that out as i go it may be a small ph issue as ive checked the runoff ph. Ive read runoff ph usually tends to be lower than the ph of the water going into the soil. Mine was a tad higher, I had water at
6.6 go into Chemdogging and Bubbly Livers, Chemdogging runoff read 6.7 and Bubbly Livers 6.9
Also put 6.4 ph water into my dark devil and got 6.8 runoff. So what does that mean? To me I think my ph is a tad high. What do you guys think? I also think i way over fed em when they started to flower except Chemdogging (i decided to go light on her just to see and she is the most green plant in the tent) which means i may have some sodium build up as well as lock out from to much of one nutrient locking out another.
Also found under cosmic queens runoff saucer a bunch of fungus gnat larvae. So ive got to clean those better and more often I guess i also can put a sprinkle of diatomaceous earth in the saucers to help prevent that.

Now on to the pics

Chemdogging Day 45
Shes been getting 1ml bloom 1ml calmag 2mls budcandy per liter and getting 1.5 liters every 30 hours or so

I’m not seeing any tip burn on the BL. If anything, a deficiency. Need to get a ppm meter and measure that runoff.

When growing so many varieties of strains it becomes difficult to dial in some of the finiky ones. Overall, your garden looks great!
