DWC Autoflower Grow

Hello fellow growers ! So I’ve grown in hydro setup before closet style lol about 15 years ago , so with that said I’m basically a Newbie to this . ANY HELP OR INPUT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I will list my set up and will update with pictures periodically. I did hell of research on my grow before hand and during , it’s also been 9 days now and I’m keeping a written log and pictures and monitoring the little guy closely. I’m basically going off the Green Jeans method . After looking through the net I felt that this was the route I wanted to take with a little LST in there as well … this is my trial and error grow I guess you could say … everyone has there own method and I’m going to pay close attention to see what I personally need to adjust, tweak and monitor during my grows . From what I read you basically want to read your plants and go from there . Any who enough of all that. Here’s my grow list

Done in a decent condition basement
-5 gallon dwc
-Micro bubble disc and two small air stones on each side .
-running a 4 port ActiveAqua 15lpm air pump adjustable as well
-Grow tent is 24x24x48 (starting With one plant see what room I have after )
- 3 Head adjustable Led light , dimmable (using for early stages and will put on the bigger light when I believe she will be ready for it)
- 600 watt ebay Dimgogo light fan cooled(my buddy uses this light and has no issues )
- mini dehumidifier
-mini oscillating fan very strong little guy
- smart power strip phone controllable and can set timers .
- 2 digital Bluetooth thermometer/hydrometer use with phone gets alerts as well
-ink bird controller
-carbon filter with vent ran out the house adjustable fan .
- using Dutch master zone , super thrive , cal mag … no nutes yet but I’m using Mendocino nutes once ready .
-monitoring ph it fluctuates from like 5.3 to 6.1

temperature is my main issue right now but I’m seeming to maintain around 77 average water is about 75 I would like to be a little lower but dont want to invest much on that end. Will be adding a fresh air vent from outside but want to get more input . I get hot humid days here in CT and frigid winters … more research I’m going to have to do .

will update periodically… feel free to ask question and or positive feed back. Happy to be a part of the Community!!

SEEDS ARE SILVER HAZE AUTOFLOWER FROM MSNL . Getting slight yellowing on the tips but she’s been growing rapidly could it be the water temp ? Ph seems fine …

Going to be a real challenge in a tent that short. Bucket going to steal 14", filter and light going to steal at least 6", going to need at least 12" of distance between light and the top. So your going to be limited to about a 16" plant.

Coupled with the fact that dwc autos normally veg much longer and get huge. My first dwc auto was a wreck and it yielded 86 grams at 29" tall.

Other than that, everything sounds great. I'd highly recommend adding SLF100. Noob proofs the grows, keeps the res clean, protects against pests.

I suck at adding details to my posts but feel free to check mine out. I always got a couple dwc autos going.

Thank you for all the input I appreciate it ! I’ll deff grab the sLF100, I’m going to try to LSt and keep her as low as possible , is there any methods on keeping plants short and stout I read up a little bit but haven’t found much

With dwc you can get away with pretty much any training method you want in terms of stress. Dwc autos don't really stress as hard as the soil grows.

You'll def be need to utilize it all. Topping, probably twice in your instance, LST clips or tie downs and heavy on the super cropping. Probably have to bend or snap down what you can't tie every day for a long period of time. Worth a try if that's what your limited to.

Pain in the ass having to fill em all the time but might be worth trying a 3 gallon bucket if a 5 doesn't work.

Thanks brother will keep all this in mind! And will utilize as much methods as possible

Plant was slow in the beginning now everyday there’s new growth she’s still very small but I think I’m going to stick it out for trial and error purposes . She’s about 6 weeks today bus sights starting to produce branches … do I keep going?

week 9 thing is massive autoflower wasn’t supposed to be this big !! Lol starting to think this isn’t a autoflower after all that’s what I bought it’s as from MSNL let’s see what happens it’s now about a week into flowering but started moving Slow , like I mentioned before, first Grow and trial an error lol

Need some ideas plant is growing way to tall , do I just take it out and put it in the open ? Tried bending , just bought a smaller bucket , did I mention this thing can’t be an autoflower lol ?! So I switched over to 12 12 since it seems to be slowing down looks like it wants to bud , so I’ve been on the 12 /12 a couple days and she is starting to stank so good , hopefully she starts to bud !! Should I be trimming any lower branches or let her grow ?
