So, it’s time to start a new grow I guess, looking at the European energy situation I can only see electricity prices going in the wrong direction, so I had better get some stash in place while I can.
I will, for the first time, venture into the world of Auto’s, because, well, you know, why not.
I grow in a cupboard in a small apartment, its quite stealthy because, well, its in an apartment block and I have a lot of neighbours and there are legal things to consider too.
My tent, a marshydro 70x70x160 is such a tight fit that I have to actually build it in the cupboard, ‘cos it will not fit through the door frame, and so I have about 2cm eitherside when installed.
There is a 1cm gap under the door for air flow, this of course means airflow isnt great, so I will be installing a ventilation grill at the bottom of the door (wish I had thought of that years ago) and I will be lifting the tent off the ground a couple of cm’s to allow better airflow to the tent vents at the sides and rear. Hopefully this will give more airflow, keep the temps down and generally improve the grow environment.
My light,
Self made with Citizen CLU048-1212’s and a HLG-320H-C1050A, I can connect 4-6-8 cob’s in different configs (35k,57k,27k) upto 320watts

Why these two? short plants, high THC, good Yield, in a small space, seems like a match.
3 reused grow bags, 1 bucket (2+2 each seeds for comparison, (and cross seed??)) will see what happens.
Plan for Scrog/LST depending on how the plants grow.
3 coco blocks - soaked and expanded in full dose nutes. eur 3
4 way drip system on 2 rear or all 4 pots? eur 12
Bio nutes, do I need nutes with good soil????? eur 10
2 x 40ltr soil + 1x 10ltr eur 11
2 x10ltr perlite eur 16
Cal-mag, jic eur 5
Root stim eur 12
Litmus Ph test strips eur 11
coloidal Silver 500ppm eur 18
Door vent eur 13
setup tent:
3-4 wood strips to lift bottom of tent for air flow
Set tent forward 20cm to leave more air space at rear.
Fan and filter on top outside of tent, Check this for good air flow and aroma stealth, or revert to filter in tent .
Put air vent in bottom of door, took longer to carry up the drill and saw than to actually do the job.

Training begins, for 1 plant anyway and added two cobs to the rear bank.
Training begins, for 1 plant anyway, and added two cobs to the rear bank.
The rear (1st germination) Forbidden Runts has taken off, training will proceed as normal, the aim is to for a flat canopy, each plant taking up 35cm square and producing 8 mains per plant, but, you know how it goes.....
Popped off one wire and reconnected two wires to add 2 more cobs into the mix on the rear bank, 2 minute job, but its always a bit of sweat in case the lamp drops or something untoward happens, now running 6x Citizen CLU048-1212's @ 30watts pc
Anyways, as I sad, its going to be quite an experience training and scrogging these four, they are all at (seeming massive) different stages of growth even though its only a few days between germination.

Back to basics,
Hmmm now got more plants with classic wind burn indicators... droopy clawing leafs, still firm but with an almost dry feel to them.
I have had the fan sucking 280+/- square meters ph out of the tent and pushing it through the filter... seems like this is just too much air flow for the plants to handle with all the vents open., also the incoming air could also have been too cool.
Anyway, I have reverted to having the filter in the tent, as tight up to the roof as possible and the fan sucking through the filter and out through the house ventilation system, Air movement appears to be far smoother because the exhaust isnt been pulled though a single 120cm hole in one corner of the tent (which seems to create a harsh wind at one side) but more or less equally all along the length of the filter which is in the middle of the tent roof,
The heat at the top of the tent (from the lamp) is still escaping through the filter even though i have less air flow across the plants, this has always worked in the past, so..... experiment over I guess.
Plants stink, even though there are few flowers and some issues
Hopefully I can learn a little more as we go.
Decided that the reflectivetentbottomthingmagigwithholescutintoit was too restrictive, couldn't really see what was happening with the pots and watering, air was been sucked up through the holes and over/through the plants really well, too well. producing wind burn, so that has been removed, now back to a basic setup,
Filter at top, fan on top of tent, only the rear airvent open.
Hopefully the plants enjoy life a little better, softer, unrestricted and indirect air flow, every thing more open,
BACK TO BASICS!

So far I have done far too much wrong, or the genetics of these plants are poor
so far, all 3 forbidden Runtz are, well, totally frikking different, growth rates are so far off each other its like 3 totally different strains.
anyway, the one at the rear right, seems to be having every problem in the book, didnt like being in the cool air/breeze, seems to hate its first watering, just stopped growing leafs, and it looks as if I have may have killed it. with its first watering.
I guess its down to me.
the front right runtz is growing ok, but seems taller, slower and producing far less initial flowers.
the front left Runtz, is very slow, but looks to be best of the bunch, Squat, wide, normal looking, although she also isnt producing many pistils...
learning curves can be fun, or they can be a real pain in the ass,
@ 11 euros a seed for the "42 fastbuds, forbidden Runtz " I was expecting reasonably consistent genetics and 5 out of 5 seeds to plants., SO two didnt make it from seed, and the 3 that have are.... Pffft! no one would look at them and say " 3 plants from the same pack"
Still, gotta take it on the chin, take the blame and learn... Auto's seem so unforgiving!!
I have moved them around so I have better access to the sick looking FR, I have also put an airstone under the grow bag attached to an air pump, I will run this for a few hours, maybe it will pump some air up through the soil and open some air pockets, cannot think of anything else at this point.

35 days under the lamp, forbidden Runtz are all different.
35 days under the lamp, forbidden Runtz (front right and left, right rear) are all different., even the runt in the small pot that just doesnt seem to do anything.
The FR says on the writeup that i should expect 80-130 cm tall, so far they have not filled the 35 cm square allocated to each plant, stretch seems to have forgotten to happen...and they only have 4-5 weeks to go, according to the writeup.
The Gorilla cookie (left rear) looks ok, although rather spindly, and not producing many pistils,
