Been weird here the past few winters warm and not hardly any snow, we even had a early spring last year.

Its starting to rain here today again.

I figure the weather goes in cycles like most everything else and if we could look at the big picture like 1000 years we would be able to see it as normal, you better hope the glaciers don't make it back down your way..lol

That's some tasty looking smoke you have there, That reminds me I better burn one here too. :)

We must be getting some of it....26" last week, supposedly 50" here in the next 5 days.
If I could detour it for you, I would.

EoF...a common sight, my friend. Sick-Ass trimmed nugs that look like they had a cage match battle with a 5 lb. bag of granulated sugar from Hawaii.

Just so gorgeous it inspired me to smoke some 2 week-cured HBSS-dom SBC. :)

Sweeet man!! Thanks dude! I bet thats some good smoke too.One day ill get to grow more of their gear..Im just got the sour hound n auto n chem n the cush beans so ill prolly drop a cpl other auto n chem beans.that was some nicely nice smoke too.:d5::Sharing One:

Hey eyes on fire I went to just toss around my mix today I Live in a really dry environment so was just checking and the mix felt quite warm to the touch I'm assuming this is a very good thing meaning things are being eaten and shit back out by the microbes hey?

Also I was having a discussion with neko sempai today (a good and old friend of mine for about 9 years now) we were talking organics and about the Dr earth soil I notice that is seems this pot of gold soil has a lot of what some of the tlo soils have kelp, alfalfa, seaweed, castings, pumice, lime and myco stuff

Can I ask what makes this soil a non living organic soil?

Also I got to looking for living organic soil kit and came across a site that offers a kit for 15 bucks and free shipping that it says will service 2.5 cu ft here is the list

Acadian Kelp Meal
Ahimsa Neem/Karanja Cake
Alfalfa Meal
CalPhos
Camelina Meal
Crustacean Meal
Fish Meal
3x Fish Bone Meal
Soybean Meal*
Sul-Po-Mag (Also Known as K-Mag or LangbeiniteMalted Barley Grains (3 Varieties)
Azomite
Basalt
Gypsum
Oyster Flour

Neko said it looked pretty bom to him so I wanted to get your professional opinion about it also if that mix does look good to you would it be a viable additive to the Dr earths? And also how well would it do in say promix hp or sunshine #4

thanks a bunch brother

i copied your post to answer it.No sweat man.

well to start with how long has your mix been blending?sitting properly moistened?if its been right about a week go in and mix it up.get them wee lil corners man do not skimp on that.split in into two batches if ya gotta.but once it tapers off which can tend sometimes to be roughly a wwek or so and get lightly warm once remixed if its a healily acitve soil.Which bagged is not by itslef unless its worked, hence the blending term.these pre made bags are essentially marketing with science skewed to put across its the only thing needed or with their products and ways lmfao.and a simple bought bag like Dr earths will and cannot grow from seedling to a full on harvest without being worked on some level or slammed with other foods(ie:fish n so on) to almost mellowly force it to feed meaning that you completely cover the remaining soil in other bi products that laden the soil with heavier compounds that are good but as an always its NOT living nor active in that sence..its purely an organic blended soil.or worked and fed soil grow..its that simple. bro.. buut with an active living and well worked soil it has worms and other wee verti dudes(vertebra, lmfao) in which a bagged soil will not sustain at all.there is an adaption and balancing act done within the characteristics of the soil make up to put forth the better enriched environment to sustain life.now dr earths for example is a good soil.dont mis understand.I like it actually.used a lot of it in my day lol. but it has minimal life to just BE a living soil in a bag.(unless made in larger living piles which its essentially a thinned version of what it should be..MONEY MAN!) it'll need other foods to feed the micro dudes n kelvin cycle of a larger living mix.which doesnt occur as readily whith other bagged soil..again unless worked lol does that make any sense of should i try again?LOL!!:Sharing One:

and that pack you ran across is great from what i can see.some soil, perlite, castings(which you got now lmfao) and a bag of mushroom compost and cow compost9are you best bets and cheap)and you can build a greeat soil man.a little more proper man.again bro,its about balance and not having to feed an auto in a soil for stability.

Hey EoF totally didn't mean to make any waves in that other fellows thread still feeling my way around this whole online forum thing so I was used to talking to you over there lol

And yeah neko is an awesome guy never met him in person but if I ever move to his side of the lands I fully intent to do a few grows with him

As for that soil kit thing I found it at buildasoil.com he has a couple kits on there that was just the one neko and I thought looked good

Also I noticed my cherry tomato plant looking a little down and upon watering it went right through her so figured she was really root bound in her 2 gallon plastic pot and sure enough so I took her out of there and out It in a 3 gallon smart pot I had laying around unfortunately the only soil I had to fill was the stuff I'm letting cook so hopefully it don't kill her that transplant got a bit rough

Wish I could find a good deal on some 5 gallon smart pots seems like an epic idea but dang they are expensive lol

Oh also I wanted to say to that when I watered my tomato that soil didn't seem to compact at all I'm guessing cause I actually have enough perlite in there to actually work this time haha

Also I have been just poking around the Web all night just playing about. You know how that goes. And I got to thinking about alternatives to perlite and such and possibly a cheaper mix that I'm running now (just for fun ya know? ) although I think I'm on the right track with where I'm heading now with the Dr earth's and such

Anywho got to thinking about coco coir and rice hulls I'm always down for a more economical friendly way of going about things so let me ask you about this base mix to see what you think

10kg coco coir
2.5 cu ft peat
50 pounds of castings
25 pounds ish of rice hulls
And 16qt of perlite

And then amending from there?
