Grow Mediums 1st coco 600W WILMA DRIP AUTO JACK HERER (GHS) Grow

Hi there!

I searched but couldn't find any similar grow, here is mine. Hope this helps in any manner to fellow growers out there.
Returned to my best hobby, this is my 3rd grow after 2 years. Tried to cover every detail from cable holder to fire extinguisher. My first grows were soil, i selected wilma as a step towards aerophonics. If i succeed in drip recirculating system few times, i will modify it to rdwc. Its pure fun!

1x1x1.8m tent, some parts mylarized
600W MH / HPS with reflector hood
Wilma 4 Big drip system with custom rings (18lt pots / 50lt reservoir)
additional recirc pump + 2 airstones + 50lt reserve res
250cfm all silenced exhaust / passive intake

3 x Auto Jack Herer (Greenhouse seeds)
1 x Quick One (Royal Queen Seeds) Im not sure though, this may be a lemony indica once a friend sent to me. i hope its quick one, its peanutish smell was really pleasant.

coco %65 perlite %35 with hydroton base
Advanced Nutrients Sensi A+B + additives B52 BigBud etc. + mychorizae + cal and epsom for coco adjustment

planning 20/4 schedule till harvest

Growtent ( jh girls are 4 days old, front-right is 10 days old. )



Jacks will probably overgrow quick one in a few days. I guess its because heavier potting mix, it stayed saturated for days.
Several problems;
Had some serious brownish algae problem after 3rd day, it because wilma 4 big takes in a lot of light. i cleaned with very light bleach, h202ed everyfucknthing 80ml/50lt and lightproofed reservoir. it been 2 days and everything seems ok so far.
Another issue is 600MH proved ineffective for seedlings. I cannot get the light closer so girls stretch more than i want them to. Ill place hanging cfls for first 2 weeks next time.
Temps are between 27-29 daytime, i wonder whats gonna happen when i switch to hps. I hope lower heat hps generates makes up for carbon filter circ loss.

Everything is pretty much ok. If it goes that way, I will update weekly from now on.

Lookin good! If their sretchin too much you could, if you have room, always get some air moving on those stems to slow vertical growth an thickin them up.

i have 40w ventilator synched to lights. Didnt stop stretching but at least it helped them stay straight.

btw, i forgot solution readings.

ph 5,6-6.0 hard to stabilize w/out nutes buffering
ec 0,7 (200ppm tap, 100ppm cal and 50ppm mag) .5 conversion
w temps 22,2-23,7c higher margin
amb temp 22c

flushed after algae problem, now treating soil like, giving 2-3 day drying periods this week to promote root growth.

couldnt decide whether to use a root stimulant mixed solution or just calmagged water for seedling stage. Any opinions or magic formulas appreciated!

couldnt managed to keep them under 600W mh. they either stretch or get heat stressed depending on light distance. i hanged 25W cfls each till the end of week 2. cfls let me keep the tent humidity at 70%.
very early mag deficiency occured on one of them, then i re calculated and found out that i have calcium close to 200ppm! probably locked out mag. i dunno..we ll see.

wilma with soil is probably the easiest method available. even with coco, im now far away from my seedling ladies without any worry. you should give it a go imho.

WEEK 2 from seed

girls are 12 days old, one on the bottom right 3 days old (crippled one cote, half leafed girl)


the seed i planted as quick one auto appears to be a veery lemony strong indica strain (photoperiod) once a canadian friend sent to me. not sure which specific strain it is. anyway, i dont like that plant at all so i put her in a party cup. one of my friends accepted her for his flowering room.

the only equally watering thing is black drippers for wilma. neither my own built rings nor blue drippers water each pot equally.
drought period is over, switched to 4x10min (0.4lt total) drip schedule. now i wil be treating coco like a real coco. curious to see how they react.

res temp 24(algae friendly)
ambient temp 22-23

will switch back to 600W MH and raise ec to 1.2-1.4 at the end of this week if nothing goes wrong.

what do you think about using myco together with h2o2? isnt it growing bacteria for massacre.

i got algae problem again, light proofed res didnt prevent algae with 24.5C res temp. algae lacking light is just more light whitish brown. its been 9 days since last h202 treatment. ill now apply in every 4 days. it feels like ill be wasting mycho.
