Lighting 1st DWC grow, BAM by Pal

Subbed in for the ride, this girl is going to get huge.

(Clay) Pebbles & BAM-(Bamm). It's a Flintstones reunion grow lol :D

Always read the fine print..

So I ordered a water thermometer from amazon 2 days ago for 1.98 - bargain I thought. They're cheap bits of equipment anywhere you find them so I went with amazon as thats where I buy a lot of stuff, turns out they're shipping it from hong kong for another 17 quid

On another note I checked the rockwool today and the taproot is all over the place and the seed is pretty much sideways (i'll snap a pic or two in a minute). Hopefully it will straighten itself out? First time using rockwool so I assume I've A. planted the seed upside down and B. not planted it deep enough. Someone reassure me xD :peace:

Heres a couple pics of the seed, the taproot came up and then went back down, will it sort itself out? Sorry the pics are not great quality, stuck with my phone camera since my little brother broke my dslr a few years back, never got it replaced :(

If thats root &not her stem sprouting you need to cover it maybe Pal ?. The light will kill any roots ..... not sure what else to say bud :shrug:put a bit more rockwool from another cube on top & dampen ,see if she breaks through the right way ?!:D::smokebuds:

She's starting to straighten up now - relief. I do believe it's too high in the rockwool which is why I can see some white root but I have done my best to keep that covered whilst letting the stem actually start to stand up, definitely a little fighter! Will upload a few pics once she's established :peace:

And a quick question to all hydro growers regarding the light on the roots, is it the extended exposure to light which will kill roots? I've seen countless examples of flash photography on the roots - just wondering why this isn't bad for the plant? Feel free to pitch in :peace:
