Hey guys, so today I've been able to get my hands on a decent sized air con unit for absolutely nothing. It chills a room anywhere from 16-26 degrees celsius. I was thinking about how I could incorporate this into my set up with it sitting outside the tent (Way too big to get inside) so I've now got it facing my air pump (prior to this i was just using a regular fan) to try and keep the res temps low. It works a treat! This morning res temp was 22.9 so climbing a little which scared me, 1 hour with the aircon on and the res temp dropped to 19.2. Which leads me to my question:
Is there such a thing as TOO cold for the res? I've been advised around 22 is good for the plant but I reckon I can cool it to maybe 16/17/18 degrees with ease - just don't want to slow growth of roots if its too cold. I'm a classic worrier and I'm guessing slightly OCD so I'd love some input on this. I've set the aircon to 20 degrees right now to play it safe until I get some replies :
