Later on when they start to feed a lot you will find the EC is to high at times & needs dropping ... rather than a whole res change you can just add back water .If the res is full you can remove some nutes & refill with water.The second option will obviously drop the EC more as nutes have been removed as well :howdy::Coolio:

Yeah I understand that, used that technique on a practise res : I feel like I should do a change tonight because I'm assuming the CalMag wont mix into the other nutes in the res right now, but I want to up the dosage slightly because the leaves aren't recovering and the tips of the new growth look like they have rust spots on too - not to the extent of the other fan leaves but I see it on a couple i.e gonna up the CalMag to put my mind at ease, I'll snap a cheeky photo of the roots for you too mate, they looks healthy to me, just thin.

Ok im not sure if you should but ive added cal/mg by diluting it into about half a liter of water & adding that .You could do that & it will bring down the EC as well .Just mix the water / cal well 1st .

Day 16

Hey guys, woke up today and the PH had swung up to 6.4, damn. Altered it back down to 5.7 with a few drops of PH Down. On the whole I think she looks a bit better today, a lot less blemishes on the newer growth. My aim with this plant was to try and reach 100g but now I'm not sure it's possible after the slow start? I'm resisting the urge to germinate a second seed right now, like I said I'll give her til the three week marker and make a decision then with the help of you guys hopefully :

she can still pull 100g easy bro .... my SR had major root rot & will still pull around 200g i recon :Holy Moly: all my other grows apart from the 99dragon had some problems to start with & still went crazy !. The 3 stone dragons I have in NFT where all looking really bad but the 1 girl left is looking like she will produce the goods after all .Thats the good thing about hydro bro ,you can make mistakes & still get the yield.

I left the 388g Mazar in the dark with no pumps,light or anything for 2 days & was going to kill her when I went back ,only to see new lush growth & well ...she turned out pretty good ! :High 5:

My target is 100g because from my first ever grow (2 soil plants) I got 104 in total so I wanna be achieving the same or better with half the number of plants : I can see why people run and hide from hydro as there is a whole lot to take into consideration and a lot more stress involved - initially. I'm sure once I'm dialled in etc this will be my favourite method of growing, even with soil being so laid back in comparison..me and my girl may be down right now but we're definitely not out!

This is the Canna feeding chart I'm using for reference, would you say it's accurate? It's saying right now I should be on 30ml Rhizo and 38ml Cannazym rather than the 60ml rhizo, that's only recommended for the first 3-5 days?

I use the canna grow guide too - I would say it is accurate for photoperiod plants, but i half their amounts for my autos. (especially in the early stages) I see how they get on with half feed and if there's yellowing i'll up it a bit, and if there's tip burn i'll bring it back down a bit.

Hey Blue, I've been advised to use the full strength of the Rhizo in these early stages (60ml), just wondering whether that should be 30 ml by now with the added cannazym also, right now my res is just Rhizo Aqua vega and calmag, no zym.

thing is bro ,shes not quite looking like a 2week old girl .... so imo shes not ready for anything but full rhizo & vegga (touch of cal!) .Once her roots & decent sets of leaves are there ,then drop the rhizo to half & add zym @25ml .Like Blue says ,less is more with auto's & the root has only been in the res for less than a week ect ... I would count the root in res as day 1 Pal as shes going a bit slow ?

The canna chart is good mate . :Cushty:& I find its not far off with the levels if you get a monster going :Cushty::smokebuds:

I see your point man, I can't not take your advice on board : We'll see how she's looking at the three week marker, hopefully we'll have a better idea about what to do then..It's hard to see development when you have your face pushed into the tent every half hour..something about growing plants, I just want to be in there with them and watch them grow like a time lapse in front of my eyes..might even get a tan from the LED at this rate :firedevil::smokebuds:
