New Grower 1st Grow, 2nd attempt / 60 Day Lemon Auto / CFL ~ Stealth Cabinet Grow

What's up all!


Well this will be my 2nd grow attempt after my 60 Day Wonder didn't make it past day 21, entirley my fault by the way. I dropped the camera on her taking an overhead shot and snapped the stem in 1/2..

But now I get to start my 2nd grow with the 60 Day Lemon Auto that I ordered originally, but I recieved the 60DW instead. That's the only reason I was growing the 60DW... Oh well... I got 2 free 60DW out of it! AND they taught me a very important lesson.... DONT DROP YOUR CAMERA ON HER! :thumbs:

This grow will be in a coverted PC cabinet 2' wide X 1'-7" deep X 4' tall, lined with black/white poly.I have 4 100cfm fans, 2 for intake on both sides of the cabinet floor. 2 more mounted on the outside @ the top of the cabinet sucking the hot air out. Also 1 clip fan inside cab.

I'm using General Hydroponics WaterFarm system w/ GH FloraGro, FloraMicro, & FloraBloom. Also picked up some Cal-Mag for later down the road.

No odor control yet, still debating if I have enough room for scrubber/inline fan or just going the Ona route since I'm only growing 1 plant at a time.

Right now my lighting is all CFL's:

(3) 150W/32W 6500K 1935L (3) 100W/26W 6500K 1600L

I have (2) 200W/42W 2700K 3600L for flowering and will change out the other 6500K's for 2700K's when time comes.

My 2nd ever germ went OK, she broke ground 3 days ago and today you can barley see the 1st set of leaves about to sprout!!

Day 5 ~ Monday night pics


Snapped a few pics of Ms Lovely from a few mins ago! :thumbs:

Also threw a couple pics of my steath "as I could get it" cabinet... out of boredom.
Tell me what you guys think & any thoughts.. good or bad. Me being a newby at this, I'm just curious as too any issue someone else may see.

Trying to work on the lighting set-up ASAP, trying to get all of the hanging cfl's and cords gone! Theres got to be a better way.

I have my eye on this 150W HPS Lamp that will fit nicely in the cab, but would be hard pressed for room for a inline/scrubber combo. Would definatley need it if I went the HPS route. Just eyeballing the equiptment, I think I can figure something out but it's going to be a tight ass squeeze... And my distance from plant to bulb could present a problem in the later stages. IDK?

My other option is to by a single 200W CFL bulb w/ reflector & built in ballast. I saw one at the local hydro store yesterday, not being used and the guy said he would sale it to me for $50? I dont know what the light spectrum of the bulb was that was in it. The 150W HPS w/reflectorand built in ballast was $90. Inline fan/scrubber combo would run me about $160.

I think LED is the obvious solution, but can I get what I need for $250 or less? IDK?


So I'm trying to get it all together ($190-$250) with-in the neext 3 or 4 weeks and get the wifes "OK nod" at the same time. Already have $500+ in this project, that was supposed to be my limit in the begining...

Any advice apreeshed!

Umm besides cameras, I dont' recommend dropping water jugs, nutrient bottles, etc. on your girls either.

And yes, HUGE waste of time that pro bowl. Just send the guys to hawaii, and follow them around with cameras instead, add lots of alcohol to the situation, hey, guaranteed more viewers.

:smokebuds:looking nice and healthy man your cab has great stealth, much better than mine very clean. I cant be much help with the lights this is my first run with anything other than cfls. I like them so i suggest the cfl for less heat and you can keep the other lights as side light.

I do believe i have that same Sun Systems 150w hps you are talking about. I used it the first couple of times, without adequate air exchange it can produce a nice amount of heat. Nice stealth cab by the way, i always thought it would be cool to have the "transformer" furniture. More than meets the eye!
