New Grower 1st grow: 60 Day Wonder

Day 14 ~ I know, I know... I didn't listen on the nutes... :no:

Was slammed at work today stupid weather!! So no morning/afternoon post....


7 days between rezz change Sun to Sun is what I decided until she's alittle older... maybe 2 more weeks. Also stayed on top of Ph every day and kept rezz topped off. :thumbs:

Changed rezz yesterday, ph'd @ 5.5 :thumbs:. Also gave her 1/4 strength nutes again but "not' 2 drops of cal-mag like last week... :no:.....you guessed it!!

...just about every leaf has signs of nute burn today... I was actually giving her a little less than a 1/4 strenght via syringe...

Sorry guys, live and learn... I was way to eager depite all the advice I was given...next rezz change I will cut the nutes down to 1/8 as recommended!

Yeah, thats was my stupid newby ass being impatient and going nutes after 1st week... I am due for a rezz change sat or sun and plan on scaling back a little bit...

Hey Storm, thx for droppin by.. Hey man, I'm a newby also.. 1st grow. I work from home and it's easy to stay online and post.

I post everyday more for the awsome experinced growers on this site to lead me in the right direction if they see I am screwing something up... So far so good, somebodies sending me good grow karma this way!!

However, I did go hydro over soil for the challange and the big buds since I can only grow 1 plant @ a time... I have noticed most ppl choose soil over hydro, easier grow from what I have read, but giving I am home everyday and can monitor her.. I figured what the hell!!

Well I guess I'll post a couple pics from this morning since work is slow...

I swear she grows so much from the time I go to sleep till the time I wake up! I noticed yesterday or day before roots broke thru the net pot, I'll get some pics this weekend. I'm sure thats why she is growing like w "weed" now... But I'll need the wifey's help for that... :brow:

But if you look @ lastnights pic, when I added the foil to stop the splashing.. and look at this morning.. using the foil tape as a marker, you can see how much she grew in 8hrs time... very cool

Day 18 ~ TGIF Evening



Here's the pics of the roots I promised... Moved the lights about 2 inches closer, so they are probably 6" away from her, temp is about 83 at CFL level but 78 about 10" above the lights... I'll check back, just seeing if it makes a difference over the next couple of hours...

My first ever grow was DNA 60 Day Wonder, im still a newer grower with a few runs under my belt. What i experienced with this strain is i had 2 phenotypes, a taller more stretchy one and a bushy one. Both were finicky with nutes and temperatures. Mine seemed to not like high temps, and liked lower doses of feedings. Just providing my prior experiences with this strain. Yeah, 60Day is definitely a light eater and a more of it's "handle it's own" strain in my experience as well. I was running OF/LW 50/50 with trio and had to cut all my nutes 50-75% (TigerBloom I had to start with 1/8 TSP and at the end I was up to 1/2 TSP) or she went berserk. My first auto grow was over 23 strains with and ended with only 13 after I sabotaged some and dropped a cooltube on 4, haha. I will tell you DNA 60DW is a very hardy and resillient strain, while it may be sensitive, it will reward you and will stand the trial of a new grower.

Day 20 ~ Disaster strikes...

UN-FUCKING BELIEVABLE...

Changed my rezz, only gave her FloraGrow, ph's @ 5.5 @ added 3 more cfl's lastnight.

Also cut the bigger exaust holes I needed to cut to get the air flowing better...

Was taking pics this afternoon and droped my phone straight down on the plant, snapped the main stem in half almost..

Should I up root her and start my 60 Day Lemon Autp tonight... I dont think there is any saving her...

I took a few shots of her before I drooped the phone an her, I'm sure you can figure out which ones they are...
