Grow Mediums 1st hydro have one question

Hello fellow afn mbrs been awhile since I've been up
here just got a new place and got some new seeds
super Cali haze , speedy Gonzales and bcn diesel

my question is I bought jiffy pods to start just wanted
to kno if I could use this to help roots get into the
water any suggestions is much appreciated thanks guys

Hey man, not sure exactly what it is you are asking but I'll help the best I can. Most people using hydro methods germinate the seed (please let me know if you need more info on this stage) then place it into either rockwool or a root riot cube, similar to your jiffy pellets. Once the seed is in there for a few days you can see roots coming out of the pellet and you can place that into the net pot with some hydroton (clay pebbles). Doing it this way rather than just dropping a seed directly in the medium means you can see the root development early on so you know she is going to grow. Using this method I usually have roots in the water within 2-3 days. Sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for, I'm happy to help out so just keep the questions coming if you have more

Thanks I am experimenting now with a bag seed
i will check to see if roots are in water today it's been a week
And I just received my seeds yesterday but thanks for that info
i just saw rock wool and riot rooter just wanted to make
sure what I got would work

What helped for me was to raise the water level into the bottom of the hydroton a bit just below the rockwool plug until the taproot hits the water then lower it down slow to the normal running level. The splash up from the bubbler will keep everything moist so it doesn't dry out.

Hello fellow afn mbrs just received my tent yesterday :grat:
Got everything setup and will post pics but I had a noob question
and just really want to know the answer so I heard cigarette smoke is
bad for the ladies but is :Sharing One: Smoke bad for her just curious so I will make sure none gets into the room

Smoke is bad for anything that breathes and makes for a less sanitary environment. Commercial tobacco can (in very rare instances) carry tobacco mosaic virus and infect your plants. I always wash my hands thoroughly before touching anything associated with the grow.
