New Grower 1st PC GROW

I had the same problem with my grows in soil I'm a newbie at this but the leaves turned brown and my runoff was always in the 3-5 range using happy frog also I called happy frog and they told me not to worry about run off ph thay it's not accurate anyway as some nutrients . stick to the soil so you don't get the good reading I played with it for two months while the plants hung in there.... strill got some nice buds apx 3 oz at the end...I'm trying a deep water grow now maybe that will keep better control on the ph/tds stuff..the big problem with the autos is they grow so fast so if your like me and don't know what's going on with the plant you don't have time to really fix it unless you catch it early............hang in there

Flip ya Bro!!!! Looking really nice. How are the smelling? My NYC is just reeking up my man -cave!!!!! Smells like coffee/skunk/something dead,,LOL. I'm thinking we are running neck and neck age wise and she will be really bad by the time the chop comes! WW smells almost citrusy,,,surprised with that. Getting hairier by the day overhere. Wish the best for your girls and I'll stop back in next week to see,,,"What up"!!!

smell is not bad at all -- just a mixture of lemon scented grass. lol

i also just started my linen ona block -- works like a charm in a small space. -- making the room smell like fresh laundry.

if your plants smells like skunk now.. it will definitely be worst later! -- or good.. depending on how you look at it.

wish you the best of luck with your girls as well my friend -- hope we can both get a good smoke out of our harvest.

hey pman -- thanks for grabbing a chair and stopping by.

i definitely ran into a couple of problems.

heat issue/stress/oh lockout with soil. -- you know the beginner problems.

i feel like i definitely slowed down the growth of my LR #2 -- way too small compare to other journals. (maybe just a bad pheno -- along with bad soil..)

3oz sounds nice -- but being in my case -- id be happy with any yield for my first grow.

i can only get experience and get better from grow to grow -- so ill just take it in stride.

goodluck with deep water grow -- hope you can get that in control.

a link to a journal would be nice to follow as well.

p man that is one monster of a plant. Massive stalk and multi-colas. Anymore close-up photos? Tell us more about it--age, strain and the lighting you used. More members ought to see it.

Nice grow! I'm on my third grow that includes three LR2s also. My first two grows were in a Mr Grow Box PC case too. First grow went well but my second grow had heat and space issues. I made some investments and am doing my third grow in a 3x3x6 tent under HPS. Essentially, I outgrew my PC Case within two grows.

Fortunately I've never had any soil issues. My first two grows I used a 3:1 mix of Fox Farms Ocean Forest to Light Warrior. For my current grow I'm using the Sunshine Advanced Mix #4 and like that a lot. I germinate in paper towels and propagate in Jiffy Pellets before dropping the pellets in the soil. I use reverse osmosis water that I get from a vending machine. I'm convinced using the RO water is one main reason I've been growing well. Another reason is reading this forum, especially many of Muddy's posts.

Don't sweat the small stuff. Enjoy the grow!

yea.. i definitely ran into some heat issues -- its looking like i might be running into a space issue also.

damn soil issues!! -- hope the dolomite lime is working.
the plants seems to be growing bigger and faster as the days goes by.

ive read mix reviews about ffof and lots of good reviews about SS#4 -- will definitely be looking into either finishing up the remaining soil or purchasing promix/ss#4.

muddy definitely knows the plants and the post definitely helps me out along with the afn members.

also finally got my heat issues tuned to perfection! -- thanks to unholyfire.
(just relying on the ambient room to stay cool = no problem inside case)

i like that -- just taking this grow as an experience under the belt.

any yield will be a +.
any problems will just get me prepared for the next round.
