The temps have been 70-80f and humidity of about 40 on average. There seems to be abnormal growth to me but I could be wrong, not sure its worth saving at this point. Would appreciate any input. Thanks for your time.

Hey @Obustus is this your first ever canna grow? If so dont feel too bummed out as going pure perlite hempy is throwing yourself in at the deep end- in my opinion anyway.
Mainly because not a lot of people do it so good info is hard to come across.
(Never tried it myself either just to be clear)
Did you make drainage holes yourself? If so where? And are you ph testing feeds and runoff.

Yes, this is my first ever grow of anything lol.The drainage hole is the standard two inches from the bottom. The water is just plain tap that has been left out for 24hrs. Haven't PHd due to just wanting a KISS grow , but that will most likely have to change. From what I could find of what dahlihempy actually wrote it seemed he didn't bother testing runoff, though he did make sure to ph before he fed. On a side note would i be better off posting this in Mephisto's sub forum ? Wasn't sure what the appropriate sub forum was.

I grew a couple plants a few years ago same style.
Yes ph pen a must since only water and nutes.
Mine was real hard to get a handle on watering till the roots hit the water.
Then it was not bad I only ran two and only one time my success was only average.
I found it to hard and lost to many plants to get the two I finally got to live.
I've got friends who grow this way get excellent results they have been growing for years.
I don't want to discourage you I personally found it very hard and time consuming.

Hey bro! Ph pen is a must!! 5.7-5.9 for the Hempy. I'm not familiar with the nutrients you are using, but kiss is the best way to do things. How often are you watering? Looks like a ph issue to me. I'm gonna go on a limb and assume you didn't rinse the perlite very well to begin with? Prolly a bunch of salts built up and stunted her. But let me know your stuff from the above and we can go from there man...

Side note. I've ran perlite, perlite/vermiculite and perlite/coco so I've seen some things haha. Don't be discouraged man, great easy way to grow, we will get you sorted out. And quote me too please, phone has been acting up with my forum apps... [emoji17]

@Tenacious Trichomes I was watering twice a day for the first 3 days after that once every 48 for 4 days to let it dry out a bit. The perlite got washed out pretty thoroughly. Punctured the bag at top filled with water then punctured at bottom to let drain, filled and drained two more times. A Ph test kit is on the way. Thanks for the help.

Could be wrong but it looks like what mine do when the seedling roots hit air after breaking through a rooting plug and drying out..any chance the roots are in a pocket or have been exposed to air?..if so ,you may have lost her if the tap root was exposed to the elements and dried out.Might be best to get a new one started just in case if you can either way..;)

Yeah, at 14 days she's def small from some type of stress. On a note, perlite alone can cause thermal pockets in the root zone essentially burning the roots when not mixed with another medium. Best to mix at least 30% vermiculite or coco to prevent this also adding a water retention property To your medium.

The perlite settled about an inch from it was placed in the bucket to when the germinated seed was put in. I would assume that settling would have filled in the voids since its small perlite, but not really sure. My intention with all perlite was to have an inert well draining medium but that might have to change, going to try one more time with a new seed after the PH kit arrives if it doesn't work out i will go with 20% vermiculite. tenacious tricomes mentioned PH and it seems that boron deficiency can cause abnormal growth and locks out at above 6.1 pH. As far as the stunted one goes I'll keep it going until the kit arrives, though more growth appeared after going down just two of the lights instead of the four.

Thanks to all of you for your time.
