Grow Mediums 2 DP Auto Ultimate in DIY RDWC

My roots looked a little slimy early on, i rinsed them in tap water. Are you using CalMag supplement?

thanks gloomshade, I wasn't using Calmag. In the past I have never needed it till quite late on in the grow. I did add some to the new res mix a few days ago.

They're still overfed, and fried.
The difference between 25ppm too much will show on autoflowering strains.
I'd still do the same thing.
It's definitely not a deficiency, I'll promise you that. They're burned.
Flush for a couple days, and start your nutrients back at 200ppm lower than what you are using now.
Work your way up from there.
Give some time for new growth to come in right and then you can bump it up 50ppm per day until you see your tips start to turn burn, then back off.

I ONLY grow hydro. I had to start somewhere too

Strange, As i grew a Think different that yielded 1 pound under a 400w HPS and was running it up to 1600ppm in full bloom with no problems at all

Hmm. There must be something very unique about your setup, methods, nutrients, or water.
That's almost unbelievable. 400 hps and pound TD plant, wow.
You should be teaching me, and the rest of us honestly.
I've grown more TD than probably anyone, and it so weird that we could have such different results.
I really thought I had my system dialed in. Perfectly reading my plants, Massive amounts of light, good
nutrients, meticulous training.
That is SO Strange.
Almost unbelievable.

with regards to the current grow, I have to say the other plant is stable at 850ppm ph sat at 5.9, and that has had no water or nutrients added for 3 days. I think she will need a good 4-5 litres tonight of water and nutes at the same levels, would prefer to bring ph down to 5.8

this is the healthiest of the two plants. I did not expect it as the seedling did not look happy when she broke the surface. she seems happy running at 850ppm and ph very stable at 5.8-5.9
I have not added or adjusted the res contents in 3 days and all levels are remaining stable

the res mix was made up 5 days ago as follows
Added to the 12ltr res of water with a starting ppm of 290ppm

calmag 12ml
Dutch Pro Multi total 24ml
take root 12ml
Auto grow A 36ml
Auto grow B 36ml

Now for the sickly one. she has been on a plain water flush for 2 days now. tonight I will mix up a weaker res mix, probably aiming for a total ppm of about 550-600.
I have been foliar feeding her in the last few days, with a 1/4 strength solution. This is not something I have done in the past, but thought it might help while the roots are being flushed.
Also removed a lot of the larger fan leaf matter, due to a lot of dry rust coloured patches on them

today I am switching the healthy plant to bloom nutrients as I don't wan't her stretching to far. she is about 35 days old anyway.

Her is a rundown of the feed she is getting

11ltr in res of Base tap water ppm=290 Ph= 7.6

Added
Multi total ppm= 293 Ph= 8.1
take Root ppm= 296 Ph= 8.4
bloom A ppm= 640 Ph= 8.1
Bloom B ppm= 770 Ph= 7.5

+ 2ml Ph down = Ph 6.4
+ 0.8ml Ph down = Ph 6.0
+ 0.2ml Ph down = Ph 5.8

As for the sickly child, I was going to cull her today, but the PH has stabilized at 5.8 and the nutrients at a ppm of 560.
I also had a quick look at the roots and thought there is enough new growth to give her a week or two.
Take a look and please give me your thoughts...

I wouldn't remove rusty coloured fan leaves. I think the first or second set of leaves on my auto pounders didnt have any green left on them, but they still photosynthesized enough to throw out a bunch more leaves that turned into a healthy plant.
