Hey all, i'm new to these forums but people seem friendly enough so thought i'd share my grow with you all :)

My main plant is the one described in the title, a Think Different by Dutch passion. I have it in an IKON Oxy-Pot and am using GH Flora series nutes, under about 385W of CFL (1 x 200w dual spectrum, 6 x 30-35w 2700k) for now.

I built the cab myself around a cheap Ikea shelving unit, and am using a single 120mm fan extractor (at half speed is plenty of ventilation). I planted this in the first week of jan, and due to using a large RW cube it took slightly longer for roots to hit water and things to get started so may be slightly stunted.. Other than that I'd like to think things are looking good, shown signs of pre-flower and think there is about a week or two left before it starts to stretch so im just trying to maximise branch (10 branches so far) and root growth.

As you will see from the pics I also have a bagseed running along side im still not sure what sex it is, must be nearly 2 months old now and have topped it a good 7-8 times at least.

Thanks for replies :)

Some pistils showed few days ago and seems to have started its transition into flowering, here comes the stretch!

PPM is currently around 550-600 so may try nudge that up a bit see how it responds. Whenever I lower PH, the next morning the plant seems to have brought it back up to 5.8-6.0 so seems like that is where it likes to be, although I do let it vary.

Roots are also getting nice and thick, do they grow much more while it stretches and flowers? I'll get some pics next res change.

As you can see this is a bit of a poor man's grow, made the main bulb reflector from a couple of tin trays with mylar on them, and attached it to a fixture i made for the socket out of a metal bracket. I'll be improving it as i go along.

Stem is just incredibly thick for its size and branches are starting to show, If this plant stretches enough im hoping for a nice healthy harvest :) Also other than GH Flora series nutes, is there anything that anyone else would recommend that would make a noticable difference in quantity or potenty, that I can't already get from the Grow Micro and Bloom?

From looking at both Tavid/Hazy, and seymour's grows I still cant decide whether or not to build a scrog? any sugestions?

Looking good man.. love the cabinet!

Subbed... :pop:

So I was thinking of getting a 250w HPS, but it seems that a full kit including reflector and ballast are actually more expensive for a 250w than a 600w setup. The cheapest I found for a 250w was around £95, and only £60 for a 600w setup.

So my question is, would a 600w HPS be overkill for a box this size and a single plant? As I really dont want to pay more for less.

Mr Sparkles uses a 600w air cooled in a similar space, though maybe a 400W air cooled would seem a more natural fit.

anyhow - enjoy the genetics, they should perform whichever lighting choice you make

Think i'll have to pick myself up a 400w HPS soon then. Few more pics, started to noticebly stretch so should be some explosive growth over next few weeks.

PPM: 550
PH: 5.7
Cab temp: 21C-24C
Res temp:18C-20C
Humidity: 30%-40%

Am really gonna have to find somewhere else to put that bagseed plant and let it veg away untill this box is free, the amount of times it's been topped has just made it mega bushy and is taking up too much space!
