New Grower 3xDP Auto Blueberry in a 125/250W CFL SCROG grow

Day 87

All three plants are on a plain water diet. I harvested ABB#3 already, some harvest shots below. I just couldn't help myself so I cut down one bud earlier in the week and quick dried just to have some for the evening vape sessions. I'm really liking the blueberry so far.

The last shot of all three girls together. I always find harvest time bitter sweet. It's nice to have it done but at the same time I miss having the plants around.

ABB#3

Picture of the modest harvest. I left some of the popcorn buds to mature a little longer. I put the buds in a paper bag to dry inside the tent. I know it's not ideal to dry them in there while the light is still running but it's the only option. It worked out pretty well last time even though they dry too fast due to the high temperature and low humidity. The only thing I noticed is that the hay smell stays pretty long. Some of them needed more than a month in the jar to get a nice smell.

All in all it weighed in at 91.4g, should be somewhere around 20g dry. As expected most of the weight was in the main cola, which weighed in at 39g wet. I believe this plant is the smallest of the three. The remaining two should hopefully pack a bit more weight, probably not a whole lot though.

What's left of #3. Should be a couple of grams there.

Day 95

ABB#3

After 2.5 days the buds went in to the jar, another 2.5 days and the humidity settled around 65%. The dry weight ended up at 23.4g, it didn't lose as much as I had thought.

These are two pics merged in to one, the pics are taken a week a part. I don't know if it makes a big difference but if nothing else they look much nicer after they get some light on them.

The cut-down leftovers, they weighed in at 37.2g wet, which should yield around 7-8g. Add another 1.4g from the bud I took earlier and it should end up a bit over 30g. I'm pretty happy with that result.

ABB#1

It purpled up quite nicely towards the end.

These were some sticky smelly buds, like pine mixed with rosemary. I tried a small sample and also the vapor tastes/smells like pine. This should be an excellent christmas bud :smoke:

It weighed in at 155.1g. I'm guessing somewhere around 35g dry since the buds on this one are fluffier than ABB#3, which had really rock hard buds. The kind where you're glad to have a metal grinder.

I did the same here and cut off the main buds only, leaving the lower bud-sites to mature another week or so.

Day 98

The left-overs from ABB#3 are dry and in the jar, they weigh 6.9g. This gives a total of 31.7g from ABB#3, not too shabby, I thought it would be less.
The main buds from ABB#1 are also dry in the jar and they weighed in at 37.2g, they did not lose as much as I had thought due to them being a bit fluffier. This one in particular is really stinky, just a quick opening of the jar and the smell fills the room. I feel like I brought in a christmas tree already :stylez rasta smoke:

ABB#2

During the week I cut down the main buds of ABB#2.

Pretty decent sized buds. These were also a bit fluffier buds with a lot of fox-tails. It's already dry and in the jar and after a day, the smell in the jar is already really nice. It has a really distinctive blueberry muffin smell. I was surprised the smell was already so nice after a single day in the jar. I think the blueberry smell is more pronounced now than when it was still growing.

All together it weighed 142.6g, which should be somewhere close to 35g.

If there was one plant I wish I could have given more light it would be this one. It seemed really eager to produce buds, even below the screen where there is almost no light.

Trichomes at harvest, I'm guessing around 5% amber or so.

Day 109

Last week was pretty busy so I didn't get a chance to take down the leftovers, I had to wait until the weekend. So on Sunday I cut down what was left of ABB#1 and ABB#2 while puffing on ABB#3 :smoke:

ABB#1

A decent pile of popcorn buds that weighed in at 56.4g wet, should be somewhere around 13g dry. It didn't look like a whole lot while it was still on the plant but I guess it adds up, not that I'm complaining
I also invested in a fiskars micro-tip for this harvest and I can see why people are so fond of it, it's really awesome for trimming buds. It's sharp, the tip is very fine so you can trim closer to the bud and it's comfortable to use.

ABB#2

Trichs at harvest, quite a few amber, should be nice and relaxing.

Also a good pile of small buds that added up to 61.6g, perhaps somewhere around 15g dry.

They're both still drying in the tent so I should know the final weight in a couple of more days. I already started planning my next grow. I think I will do another blueberry scrog run, 3-4 plants, but I will use a GN MS0006 LED instead of CFL. I can't decide if I should plant 3 or 4 though. This time 3 plants did not really fill out the screen and I'm wondering how much larger they will get under the LED light.

Hey man i dont know if they will get too m uch larger under LED its about the strain and the pot size as well the lighting and nutes too, amongst other things you also have to consider like ph and ec.
Excellent grow my friend those buds look really nice and tasty, beautifull colours this has made me want to grow another ABB run. Il have to set that up soon. Well done again man.

Thanks Briain, much appreciated! That's a good point, especially the pot size. I will see if I can squeeze in two larger pots in the back. I'm not sure if I can fit 4 in there, I need some space to get the run-off out. I will probably start 4 plants, worst case I have to cut some branches off if it gets too crowded. I can't exactly add budsites if it doesn't fill up. I have a feeling ABB is going to be one of those strains I will always want to have in my stash.
