jus poppin in with a couple notationz me didn't add las nite, cuz it was late & me was wantin to get to bed, lol nothin major, jus some specz...

Harli.... man, me don't even where to start with her, haha! me lil bush girl firstly, las nite'z pic of her was taken just before gettin yet another major haircut, which is damn near a daily occurence now, lol, and me don't even wanna think about what an even bigger bush she'd be at this point without all the trimmin theze past couple weekz...man, it'z like little vietnam in there as it is! lmao :smoking: i lost count a few haircutz ago, but i know it'z had to be a few dozen leavez i've already snipped off, to which she respondz by jus growin more, haha! by my count, she'z now got 14 bud sitez goin, besidez her main cola...fourteen! she'z responded sooooo well to the lst i've given her, so i've got her circumference pretty much in check...now it'z just a matter of keepin her eventual height in check...hopefully, lol...so far, i've been able to keep em both short & squat by keepin em jus a wee bit closer to the lightz than most probably would, but it fitz the ticket & they seem to be handlin it fine so far, so fingerz crossed

Teresa.... boy, ya jus gotta give it to dear Teresa, lol needless to say, she'z had far less lst & trimmin than Harli, but she'z a downright trooperette, and has 10 bud sitez of her own, besidez main cola she'z just so weird, haha me shoulda known the jig was up when i planted her in the center of the pot, but sumhow, she sprouted at least an inch off center, lol...and from then on, the unbalancing act has prevailed like one of her lower branchez actually split into a "y", and is now two, and that sorta thing, lol...whew! but, me luv her to death, and with a little lst & snippin here & there, she at least lookz more or less "balanced" now, so...

that'z it folkz stay happee, healthy & high, and have a great rest of this fine day! :smiley1: ppp

ok, sorry bout bein lazy wif me updatez, but one thing leadz to anuther, and well, u know, lol but tbh, the girlz really hadn't been doin much...of anything really, lol...and me also had to kinda stop in the middle of everything & make a change in me lighting arrangement...but all is good now, and me gotta say, this is def the happiest the girlz, and me, have been so far...choo-choooo!

i mean, wow, huh-? like i say, after the last update, they both jus kinda froze in time for a few, lol, and after a couple dayz, me figgered me was most likely witnessing the calm before the budstorm lull, and yup, i'd now say that was indeed a fair bet alright, hehe :smoking: tomorrow will be day 40 for Harli, and she'z 11" tall...hell, she grew an inch jus since yesterday, lol...Teresa is bein her normal weird self, but def happee & thrivin all the same they're happee, i'm happee & all is good & well in me lil green universe!

as far as the lighting situation goez, well, long story short, after careful study & diligent observation, it became apparent that 1000w of full-on led in that small space was just too strong for me girlz, so out it came (anybody need a light-? lol) i've now got a 12,000 lumen old school combo of t5 fluro & pigtail cfl goin at about 14", and the girlz are simply luvin it! they've both got pistilz shootin out all over the place with new onez comin every day, and they'll be hittin preflower soon me figger they're just takin their own natural time is all...i mean, they are NL after all, haha hell, me automatically figger 100d for NL regardless, so it'z all good

Ayy I know how it goes with updates but otherwise your work is excellent and babies are damn healthy looking! Well done!! They’re entering the super exciting part hehe!

That pic with the lighter, I just wanna ask, do you take off those little bud sites? My next grow I think I’m going to be strict with that - never tried!

exciting is right, hehe! and well, u know how as the plant growz, it getz successive levelz of main fanz that come out...1st node level, 2nd node, etc...then new branchez (the onez that u see in the picz) will grow out of each of thoze nodez...once they got out a wayz, i snipped the orig fanz off, level by level as they matured, becuz they just ended up gettin in the way of all the new growth that started exploding around day 10-12...then, as thoze new branchez grew out & got long enuff, me started the lst with em, so that the next level up would have breathin room, and so on me went snip crazy for bout 8 or 9 dayz durin that period, lol, cuz it turned into a jungle, and needed both light & airflow let in...and fear not, me never tried it either before this grow, but it'z really ez & the girlz have responded wonderfully as u can see ppp

yup, we finally have preflower! but hey, ya gotta remember, this is an old NL steam engine, so... the above picz were taken last nite, which was day 45 for Harli, and as u can see by the ruler pic, she'z now officially a footer, yay! also did a wee bit of defol after the picz, and me lighting setup is still a diy work in progress, lol, but comin together slow but sure in the meantime, me slowly swappin out the 6500k bulbz for 2700k to set em up for flowering

this just in -> Teresa is running amok! haha! but seriously, yup, the tortoise has indeed now caught the hare, lol, and Teresa is now a footer as well, and before trimmin a couple outside leavez off, had a girth of 21"! she'z still growin a bit weird & off balance, lol, but has definitely turned out a surprize contender indeed, wow! and Harli, as u can see in the picz, is startin to have random tipz of her pistilz start to turn that telltale light rust color, which meanz their job is done & stackin will be commencing soon enuff, yay!

ok, sunday evening cinema time!

the girlz Day 51...

boy, what an interesting contrast theze two have turned out to be, lol for quite a while there, Harli was me lil bushgirl, while Teresa sloooowly grew alongside, but now, almost before me eyez, Teresa'z the one that'z turned into a total wild child! i mean, Harli is still an inch taller & has more bud sitez, but still, Teresa is def takin off for partz unknown now, haha, whew! they're still takin their good ol' sweet NL time about thingz, lol, but it'z all good & that'z the latest kidz! ppp

ok kidz, me know it'z sunday evenin cinema time, and me apologize in advance for any inconvenience , but the projection room seemz to have an "out of order" sign hung up, and well...me could lie & say it'z cuz they're changin the reelz (psst, that'z not it )...or, me could be honest, and say that any picz shown at this point would be...a complete embarrassment...yup, that'z it ...or, me could tell the real truth, which is to say that ur'z truly has, well, basically made a complete & utter fuckery of everything yes, ty ty...don't send money, jus seedz plz

long story short, due to a basic, all-around nutrient defic in general, thingz have taken a complete noze dive since me last entry on the girlz, and they're both fadin fast, especially Harli...poor girl is almost bald now, lol...so far, throughout the ordeal, Teresa has been, and still is being the stronger of the two, and may yet be saved...Harli, me not so sure... Teresa has been gettin the spotz (the measlez i call it, lol), but has somehow managed to keep her green color & is still standin up fairly straight...Harli on the other hand is droopy as hell & lookz like she'z been through a bleach factory as well, and trust me, it'z not a good look for her, lol...i've been waitin til i see 5-6 measlez on a leaf, then off it comez...again, not so much with Teresa, but yup, Harli is damn near bald, lol...the funnee thing is they've both been continuing to actually grow throughout the ordeal, lol...gotta luv them ruderalis genez, eh-? haha...and yes, i've thought about pullin Harli & startin a nice new fresh bean in her space, but me jus hangin on for now til help arrivez & hopin for the best

me do got an emerg care pkg on the way, but it won't be here til wed...in the meantime, me gonna give em a small watering tomorrow probly with dist water + epsom salt to tide em over til the calvary arrivez, and again, hope hope hope that not all will be lost

as alwayz, for riding along, and me do apologize for any inconvenience while this old steam engine o' mine getz put in for a bit o' maintenance...Car 11 has been fully restocked with drinkz & snackz and if u don't mind a slight unplanned layover, i'm sure we'll be gettin back under way soon ty & ppp

ok kidz, a wee 62d update...i did get me emerg care pkg y-day...to wit, the bp duo, bp calmag, ph up/down & a ph pen...however, it so happenz that good ol' murphy decided to pay a vizit las nite, in full fuckin jackboot mode, and well, long story short, me never did get the damn pen calibrated, lol, much less the water adjusted ya, don't even ask, lol anyway, me forgot to mention las time that me had also picked up a small air pump & stonez to pre-bubble me jugz o' water, which i did for what ended up bein 36 hrz...well, the girlz needed sumthin like yesterday, so me jus threw any hope of proper ph to the wind, and gave em 3ml of grow, 7ml of bloom & 5ml of calmag...then topped that watering with some mikrobz water me already had mixed up...that was around midnite las nite, and well, it'z almost 24 hrz later & they're still alive at least atm, lol... poor Harli still lookz like the bleached dead, but at least she ain't prayin no more, sayin "plz help me, cuz this mf sure ain't", haha on a better note, Teresa is still holdin her color & standin up fairly straight, and may well still be the contender, albeit a majorly delayed one, lol...they've both been kinda frozen in preflower mode, with no calyxez havin shown up yet, but mebbe now, they, or at least Teresa, can get back on track & to the finish line...one o' theze dayz, lol thx for tunin in & i'll try to update again this weekend hopefully we now return to reg scheduled programming... ppp

Hello anybody in there ....we've been missing our updates :smoking:

ok m8, more than once now, i've caught meself jus staring at that thing for lonnng stoned momentz, and grinning from ear to ear ppp

and well, sorry kidz, but the cinema car is still out of order...u know, with the sign that sez, "move along folkz, nuthin to see here" i mean, as i'm sure thoze of u still aboard can tell by the ever-so-faint *clickedy-clack* u hear, the engine is hooked back up, so at least we're not totally stranded on the siding anymore...but, we're not exactly barrelin back down the track again either, are we-?

to be perfectly honest, i dunno what the hell is goin on with theze two anymore, and have stopped tryin to figger it out...it makez me brain hurt waaaaay too much, lol for the moment, they're both bein uzed as placeholderz more or less, whilst me reconfigger a whole diff plan of approach for another grow...i mean yes, they're both technically still alive, but only becuz the word "die" simply duzn't exist in ruderalis vocabulary, haha the only thing i'm sure of at this point is that the next grow will not involve ffof soil as i'm convinced now that that'z the main culprit behind this whole mess

and yes, part of the "new approach" also involvez tryin to decide what strain to grow next...the only beanz me got atm is a couple more NL, and that'z it...however, i've also been biding time, waitin to see if the post is gonna bring some tester beanz from female seedz, which i'll be gettin in exchange for doin a grow journal about em...however, me still don't even know which strainz they're gonna send...it could be any one of my preferred choicez, or all, which were 1) auto NL (of course, hehe), 2) auto kush, or 3) auto ww x bb...i'm waitin to see what i get, becuz i'd rather the next grow (or "attempt", rather, lol) be either the kush or ww x bb, then another NL

now, to clear the air, some of u may remember that my orig plan was to do a staggered grow with 3 plantz, and thus, be able to do the perp harvest thing...well, that'z still the plan, and yes, one of the three will alwayz be a NL, so this thread will continue on, until either an asteroid strike, or alien invazion, but yes, may end up havin a momentary lapse or two along the way, in keeping with whatever staggering is happenin at the time in the meantime, if i do get the tester beanz from fs, well, i'll obviously be havin to fire up a journal in their section as well, with the whole moral of the story being that yes, i'm still conducting this train & the journey is by no meanz over i'm jus havin to step back & regroup is all, and i do hope with earnest that u'll all stay aboard & ride it out with me, altho i'd fully understand if u'd wanna get off at the next station...either way, i do thank all of u for stickin it out thus far with me, and apologize for any delayz

wow, where do i even begin... it'z been a loooong strange trip with theze two so far, that'z fer sur, lol i won't bore u with the detailz, but suffice it to say, they're both still alive, altho me haven't the foggiest idea how it'z so maddening to have two girlz the same age, with basically the same issuez goin on, but both acting/reacting totally different, ahh! i've been givin em the megacrop, but they've still got their own damn plan about thingz despite what i do or don't do, so me jus been lettin em do whatever the hell they're gonna do & hopin they'll finish sumtime before the next decade rollz in

on the flipside however, u'll notice the small 1 gal pot sittin in the front there, and welp, that'z gonna be for me auto kush me put the bean in to soak late las nite...i jus now looked & it ain't dropped yet, but hopefully it will have by tomorrow morn, cuz me gonna jus skip the whole paper towel step & put her in the dirt as soon as she dropz, which i like to do right before lightz out, which is at high noon in the ol' 420 corral and no, that'z most def not ffof in the new pot, lol unfortunately, it is still ff, but it'z the frog this time, mixed 50/50 with a reg ol' peat based potting mix & xtra perlite...tiz the best me can do at prezent, so we'll see...

as soon as lil kushy breakz into the brave new world (who will be named Gracie btw, in honor of me new pupper ), i'll be firin up a journal for her over in the female seedz section, and hope u'll join me there my sincerest apologiez for the lack of updatez here, but tbh, they jus haven't been anything i've been proud of in any way, so... nuff said
