how do you like the airpots? I almost bought 30 rootbuilder 2 pots that are almost the same but couldn't bring my self to spend almost 350 on 30 containers at the moment. Might try a few in the future. One thing I do know is I will never use bags indoors again lol what a mess they make :cuss:

hey td
this is my first try with them bought 2 of a few sizes during my last grow so i dont really have anything to compare them to but i see alot of great results with them on here. so far the only downside is losing a lot more soil when i water also im not sure how you would get accurate ph runoff with them if the water isnt passing through every bit of soil on the way down.
ive just been soaking them in a bucket of water/nutes instead of watering from the top and just measuring what ends up in the drip tray, though if someone has a better method they use please post thats the best i could come up with.

i think ill end up underwatering them at some point as they dry out much quicker but fancied giving them a shot to see what theyre like atleast. i thought bags would have been less messy if anything, ive been all pots and buckets up till this point myself/

got bored at 5 am and did some diy, put up some t5 24watt ho bulbs up on each corner pole. 2 6500k 2 2700k for some mixed spectrum. i can daisy chain more underneath them if they need it later but i doubt it.

the corners work really well as reflectors.
not really needed now but theyll be handy when theyre a bit taller.

yeah that was another reason I turned my head away from them between the price and everyone saying that when they water it runs out the top.....I would think the smart pots ''fabric pots'' would be a little easier and have the same concept as the root builder or air pots

I wonder how they would be with a drip system either indoors or outdoors....

never tried anything drip or hydro but might work well ive seen people using cloth/rope or something as a wick that you coil in the soil, could just be a novel pointless idea but seems like it would work well with an airpot you could feed it a bit easier. not drinking too fast yet but id say itll be daily waterings towards the end maybe more.

day 25/15:

all looking good, gave the rrf a 2/3rd strength feed dunk. i think the ph is around 7 in that soil so gonna bring it down a little next few feedings.
