So I just learned that a cousin of mine is going to be a cop. He is one of those guys that thinks his sh*t don't stink and I remember a few times when we were kids that we would both do something "bad" like shaking soda cans and putting them back for someone to open. In every situation like that I always got scolded and he was not. In fact they would completely ignore the fact that he did the exact same thing even though it was ALWAYS his ideas.

I know he is going to abuse his power and violate peoples rights, its just how he is. I know he and my family think he is going to help people but I'm sure he will be an "officer of the courts" rather than an officer of the law.

I got into a huge fight with my fiance and my mother when I said I didn't want him at my wedding. Am I being an ass or am I right in feeling how I do?



I love my family but its MY wedding and I don't respect him nor want him around when I'm trying to celebrate.

Being a cop is being on a power trip, and they are all adrenalin junkies. Not all are bad, but sadly, its obvious that most are. What's the difference between a cop and a convict? One of them is on the wrong side of the bars......

I don't hate the police like alot of my friends. I understand we need them and hate scumbags as much as them and everyone else. I do sometimes question how another man can take payment to lock someone up and take away their time for something they themselves don't believe to be wrong. They also have to follow the law remember. That said some dont and I hate those type of police officers.

Way I see it you can't beat him so don't make any problems. Keep your friends close and enemies closer maybe?

Its your wedding Evol so you should be able to chose who comes and who doesn't . I wouldn't invite my cousin if he was like that but that's just my "My 2 cents"

Although your gut feelings may be legit such momentum could still seem wrong to everyone else. So, in this situation i guess i'd try to consider the idea that mister perfect will remember this wedding for a long time... Not to mention the bride!

I'd question the so-called "sense of duty" when it's time to assist even those who actually need to be protected against their own state of distress.
