A Garden Of Goodies

The reason you don't have to flush with organics is that there is no salt build up. You can run all the water through the soil that you want, you aren't going to "wash" anything out of it per se. I totally get what you are saying though about getting "organic" buds that had poor flavor but that could be lots of things, but most probably it wasn't organic bud to start with, but could have been dried too fast or not cured properly stuff like that is more likely than you getting bad tasting organics because it wasn't flushed if that makes sense. Oh and those things are FROST MONSTERS!!! Rep slap coming your way for sure!

True, no salt build up (or minimal salts at least) but I still flush organics.

What you are doing by that is eliminating reserves within the plant, and that can improve the taste and flavor ... assuming all other stages were done properly.

Some can taste a difference, some cant.

I'm one who can, so I flush organics.

Others who can't taste a difference don't flush.

As with most things with our favorite weed... Personal preference of the grower is where it's at.

Stay the course, water only but gave a light rinse of bone meal liquid to the NQ, she looks to finish first. Will do the same for g14 tomorrow, then looking at a heavier rinse out with the hose in another week or 10 days.

Portal Bud Blast is up and running in the Dragon Meds forum, pics and tunes to follow there with the new run, they're off to a good start.
Thanks for your interest. :peace:

NICE !

Hey, HashMaster, thanks for dropping by the thread...most of the good action is harvested out already but these last two should be some nice variety to go with what's here.

I do appreciate your input on the whole flushing thing, I know it's a big debate with growers, and even where growers are debating that properly flushed chem buds taste no different from organic buds, and so on, etc.

I can only speak from personal growing experience, which is not vast in my case. I'm super pleased though with the quality and flavor I've achieved this round. It's a great improvement over last year, which was grown chemstyle.

I want to simply report what I do, and hope to arrive at a method, eventually, where I know the correct soil strength and such where the results will be good and easy for me, or other growers out there, to repeat with sucess, minimal effort, and tolerance of mistakes LOL , that's my goal.

Like you say, a flush can--if nothing else --help draw out nutrients from the plant before harvest. Whether or not it is "necessary" depends on everything done previously as you say. I'm encouraged that you agree, and I know others here that think the same. Yet there are others that feel it doesn't matter to them so I guess that's fine too. Our experiences are all different. I don't wish to host any debate about technique though in general, although this year's run has really been convincing to me regarding the organic way, for many reasons, taste and simplicity among others.

Anyway, thanks again one and all for your interest. :peace:

My Copacabanas are doing fine and speaking of flushing they seem to be getting a whole lot of water with this heat!

Here's some snappy happy acoustics

Plants outside are doing fine, g14 going into full fade, ready to harvest in 2 to 3 weeks.

Both plants were seeded a little, this is taking some energy away from the other buds, but that's fine with me.

Nite Queen not showing any fade but could be chopped any time. Probably will do that in a week, leave the seeded branches longer. Showing some purple on a few bud fans.

Thanks for looking in

Those are outstanding brother you are killing it.Peace.

Hey thanks man, it's hard to tell sometimes when you're looking at the plants everyday, I always think they should look bigger :haha:

They both have nice smells though, and I'm looking forward to having some more variety around.

Have a good weekend, buddy
